was happy abouut the original price when putting down payment in april on a new truck. When it came to time of acceptance of the vehicle dealer manager called and said because of changes in Toyota rebate payment in april on a new truck. When it came to time of acceptance of the vehicle dealer manager called and said because of changes in Toyota rebates that couldnt be locked in my lease price would be $55 higher then original quote which I believe was unreasonable and felt like I was being gouged. My down payment was increased and my overall monthly lease payment was still $15 higher then original quote. Accepted as a reasonable payment but dont understand why rebates and deals cannot be locked in at the time of down payment. It is unreasonable to believe the customer is expected to suck up changes in price because of market. Would the same be the case if the market went down? Would the dealer lower my lease payment if he had an another optional deal? I guess we dont know.... More
