I contacted Sunroad Auto Group with an excessive charge complaint from their Kearny Mesa Hyundai service department. They responded with an email from an internet service guy offering to sell me a new Hy complaint from their Kearny Mesa Hyundai service department. They responded with an email from an internet service guy offering to sell me a new Hyundai. I wrote back and asked how that addresses my complaint or inspires customer loyalty. He wrote, "If you are unhappy with your experience with our service department I will have the manager reach out. Have a good day.” Well, it was the service manager who wanted to overcharge me in the first place, so we are going ’round in circles”. It’s like dealing with a government agency. The thing is, government agencies are monopolies so they can afford to be arrogant, private enterprise cannot. As Sunroad Auto Group owns virtually every car dealership in the Kearny Mesa area, I guess we're going to have to go outside the neighborhood for our next car. PS: Jay N. in the sales dept. was excellent, as is the Sonata Hybrid we bought. More

Service Advisor, Eli Harlow was extra attentive to my car's care after the San Diego flooding in January. Service is good. Problem is the waiting line for a simple oil change was 3hrs! I guess this make us think twice to do that kind of work. Needs some improvement.
