While there, for just an oil change, the service advisor pointed out a few things that they recommended be done. I agreed to the work, and all of it was completed in a quick and orderly fashion. Now, my car is running better then ever. I sometimes feel like people get frustrated with a service department for silly reasons. You wouldn't go to a doctor and get mad at them if they tell you that you have strep throat, so why go to a service department and get mad when they tell you your car needs brakes? Some people will only complain to try and get free stuff. More
Bad service department Our Mazda was purchased at this dealership in '08 and their sales group was excellent. On each of the few times I have used their service department, Our Mazda was purchased at this dealership in '08 and their sales group was excellent. On each of the few times I have used their service department, however, I have been reminded why I seldom use their service department. Most recently, the CX-9 was in for a recall. While there, they alerted me to the fact that the corner marker bulbs were out. While it was in, they could replace them for $100. What?!! I guess that people get so used to paying whatever it costs to get their car fixed, that they can routinely get away with that. $13 and less than 10 minutes of my time and the job was done. So assuming they charge higher prices for the parts, let's say they get $20 for the bulbs I paid $13 for at Advance Auto. So that leaves $80 in labor. For arguments sake, let's say their factory trained technician is no faster at doing the job than I am (although he should be). 10 minutes time for $80 comes to an hourly rate of $480! Look elsewhere for you Mazda service, folks. More
Excellent customer service, highly recommend I leased a new car through John Kennedy Mazda in Pottstown. The sales staff was courteous, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Michael Briggs, I leased a new car through John Kennedy Mazda in Pottstown. The sales staff was courteous, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. Michael Briggs, the salesman who helped me, was excellent. Even after I had already signed all of the paperwork, he took a lot of time to explain all of the features of the car & how they work. He was very helpful and not at all pushy. Before I had made my decision, I had called with a bunch of questions, and he called me back in a timely manner & made sure that all of my questions were answered to my satisfaction. They really go above and beyond at this dealership, I would highly recommend Michael Briggs and John Kennedy Mazda. More
Another Mazda for me I traded in my gas guzzler for a wonderful efficent CX5. I needed a lower price and better gas mileage. I got great customer service from Mike Briggs, I traded in my gas guzzler for a wonderful efficent CX5. I needed a lower price and better gas mileage. I got great customer service from Mike Briggs, yet again. He helped me with the options I needed and get to the price I could afford. No issues with paperwork (which btw is usually the state not the salesperson) and fast and speedy processing. Such a great company to work with. I'd recommend them to all my friends and family. More

I just got back from trying to get a "20 minute oil change" done, but left after 90 minutes of being ignored. I left without getting the oil change and they did not seem to care. What good is a free oil change of your car if they refuse to do the work. Avoid this dealership....you'll be happy you did. More

Not only are they liars through and through, but when you call John Kennedy Mazda to get your questions and concerns addressed, there's a great likelihood that none of the salesman or management team will pick up the phone to assist you. I purchased a $23,399.00 vehicle at this dealership on July 14th, 2015, and they assured me that though there was a "slight" problem with the title, they gave me their word (for what that's worth) that I would receive the title in a timely fashion so I could go ahead and register the car before August 14th, 2015. It is now August 12th, 2015, and still no title. All of my phone calls to the dealership on August 12th, 2015 have been ignored, even though I am still without the title and in less than two days, if I'm caught by local law enforcement driving the car with the expired temporary plate, I could very well end up get this car impounded. The sad part of this is that they should have never sold me the car sans title in the first place. I was duped! Yes, I encourage you to always be wary of smooth talking, unscrupulous used-car salesman. But in the case of the sales team at John Kennedy Mazda, heed my warning! Don't believe what they tell you, since it's obvious from this scenario I've presented, that any prospective car buyer shopping at John Kennedy Mazda is best served to take whatever they say with a grain of salt! I'm dumbfounded. I had my 5000 and 10000 service done. A litttle costly, but no big deal. My Nav system has failed. I've written several emails, called at least 5 times, left two lengthy voice ma done. A litttle costly, but no big deal. My Nav system has failed. I've written several emails, called at least 5 times, left two lengthy voice mails - one for the service manager, one for the sales manager begging for a return call - and NOTHING. I guess I'm going to have to go far out of my way -- because the two closest Mazda dealers are Kennedy. Its obviously a culture of "who cares" More
DO NOT BUY A USED CAR FROM JOHN KENNEDY AUTO GROUP! They have the worst warranty in the business and will not correct problems when you have them. I bought a 2006 Toyota 4Runner from John Kennedy Ford Po have the worst warranty in the business and will not correct problems when you have them. I bought a 2006 Toyota 4Runner from John Kennedy Ford Pottstown on May 22, 2013. On September 01, 2013 the transmission died after only driving 2,016 miles since the purchase. I called John Kennedy and they told me I am 2 weeks after the 3 month/ 4000 mile warranty and therefore they aren't obligated to do anything. I took the car to a reputable transmission shop at a cost of $4268. They told me that the transmission was 2 quarts low in fluid and there was no sign of internal or external leakage. I wrote to Michael & Kurt Kennedy, the owners, and requested that they honor the warranty and reimburse me half (i.e. $2134 since it was a 50/50 warranty) because the defect was present during the warranty period. About a month later I received a very legalistic letter from a manager at John Kennedy addressed "To whom it may concern" stating that "we must deferentially decline". Do yourself a favor and go to a dealer that will treat you well and not in a legalistic manner. There are better places to buy with better warranties and service. For instance, Carsense has a 6 month/ 6000 mile warranty and it covers 100%. You know what they say...LET THE BUYER BEWARE OF JOHN KENNEDY AUTO GROUP. For the above reason I have rated them the lowest I could. More
