On Saturday ,my wife took our 2009 VW GTI to Pecheles VW for an inspection and routine maintenance.The car was delivered at 8:30amand we were told it would be ready at 10:30.The dealer runs a shuttle for se for an inspection and routine maintenance.The car was delivered at 8:30amand we were told it would be ready at 10:30.The dealer runs a shuttle for service customers during the week but not on weekends and my wife had taken a book to read in their pleasant customer lounge if the shuttle was,indeed,not running.Joe ,who works in the service area offered to drive her home in the GTI then return have the car serviced.We were very grateful for this because,due to circumstances beyond anyone's control,the car was not done at 10:30 but it took until 1:45 before it was completed. I am very pleased with the q uality of the service and appreciate the complimentary carwash and interior cleaning.The staff were all very friendly and helpful.It was apparent that they were more concerned about the delay than we were troubled by it.We really were impressed and appreciate employees who go above and beyond in providing excellent customer service,as well as car service.I have owned seven VW cars.The first I purchased from Pecheles was in 1983. I guess you could say I'm a long term satisfied customer! Special thanks go to Kathy and Joe for the great job they do. More
I had gone to this dealer twice in the last two years to possibly purchase an Audi. First time (2 years ago): I went into the dealer to ask about an A4 and after inquiring, the saleman took me immediate possibly purchase an Audi. First time (2 years ago): I went into the dealer to ask about an A4 and after inquiring, the saleman took me immediately to the connecting Volkswagen showroom to look at "equivalent" cars. They have a tiny inventory and mostly order their Audis, but I don't understand why they try to distract a well-researched buyer with what they have in inventory (VWs). Second time (Recently): I went in ready to order a 2012 S4. I had done an extensive amount of research on the internet and knew what other dealers were offering. I chatted with the guy for several minutes and explained my situation and he returned with an offer 2700 OVER MSRP (this increased number is what he told me the MSRP was). Given that the price sheets are all over the internet (and in my pocket at the time), I asked him to explain why it was higher than what I had. He started talking about inflation and "other costs". I did the math in my head and I asked even with 1.5% inflation, his number was almost 2K higher than it should be. He had no answer, so at this time I pulled out my online "research" and asked him to meet it and I would order it. He came back from meeting with his sales manager and tried to explain why it would cost so much more to order it. At this point I shook his hand and thanked him for his time. At the end of the day, I ended up calling internet sales managers within 200 miles of me to order my S4 and ended up ordering one for 1500 under MSRP (which is approximately 4200 LESS than what this dealer quoted me). The deal took less than 45 min over the phone and email, which I feel how it should be done. With the amount of information on the internet these days, buying a car should be much easier. It upset me that the salesman treated me like an uneducated consumer who didn't know what they were doing. More
I needed a car quickly as my old car was rapidly "dying." On Thursday evening around 5:00, June 9th, 2011, I saw a car on the Joe Pecheles lot that I liked, however, after looking at it, I realized "dying." On Thursday evening around 5:00, June 9th, 2011, I saw a car on the Joe Pecheles lot that I liked, however, after looking at it, I realized it was out of my price range. Anthony Sutton, Certified Hyundai Consultant, approached me, asked questions regarding my needs in a car & my price range. He proceeded to direct me to a Hyundai Tucson. I test drove the car, like it & we discussed price. One of the things I insisted on was that they let me take the car to my mechanic as it was a used car & they agreed. They allowed me to keep the car overnight for test driving & taking to my mechanic. My mechanic only found one thing wrong. When I returned to the dealership the next day (Friday, June 10th), I shared with them what my mechanic had said; they checked it out and agreed to make the repair - the repair was still under warranty. The next day I purchased the car. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful in my search for a new car. What I liked most was the fact that I did not feel pressured at anytime. Mr. Sutton was very friendly, made me feel at ease during the whole transaction, was informative, and took the time to insure that I understood the workings of the car. This is my second used car purchased from this dealership. All the staff were quite friendly and willing to help me in any way they could. Yes, when I need another car, I would certainly go there first. More

Our family is on our 3rd one currently and this brings us to Hyundai of America and Joe Pecheles Hyundai. My wife, mother in law and 3 young children and I were on a road trip traveling from Deltona, Fl to Kitty Hawk, NC. As we traveled from where we stayed the night in New Bern, NC to Kitty Hawk the electronic stability control (ESC ) light suddenly came on! We have a 2007 Hyundai Entourage that was about 500 miles away from our warranty ending! At first my wife and I were not sure how serious it was or if it was something that could wait until we got home. Then I noticed the cruise control was not working either. We decided to call Hyundai assistance. My wife spoke with an extremely helpful gentleman named Lance who understood our problem. In addition, it was Saturday afternoon and many of the dealerships would be closing soon and not reopen until Tuesday due to the upcoming Memorial holiday. Lance quickly found the closest dealership to us and called to find out if they were open. When Lance called back he said he had spoken with Ben at Joe Pecheles Hyundai in Greenville and Ben would stay there past closing time to fix the vehicle! Lance also let us know that the problems we were experiencing were indicative of a faulty brake switch and that our brake lights may not work properly. Lance was right, the brake lights were stuck on! After speaking to Ben at the dealership we drove to Greenville. When we arrived at Joe Pecheles, Ben and a tech, Greg had both stayed as promised! They had our van fixed in about 20 minutes and we were back on the road! I can not begin to express the tremendous debt of gratitude we owe Ben and Greg for staying late to help us stay safe on the road with 3 children and prevent a vacation nightmare! As of this review we made it home safe and sound after a wonderful wedding, and have had no further issues with our vehicle nor this brake switch. My family and I can not express our level appreciation enough for the 3 gentlemen that went out of our way to help us out. We love our van and the only downside is we are already wondering what we will do when its time to replace it, as Hyundai no longer makes the Entourage. From the very first time I pulled into the lot April 30, everyone was very friendly. When we returned on May 7 he was there to great us again as well. His knowledge of showing us all the features of the SUV was very well done, we drove the SUV on a routine drive, he explained as we drove what each thing i questioned very throughly. We were very pleased with the service he extended and since i made the purchase that day, I have had a couple of issues that he, Jason and the finance manager handled very well. Off to a rocky start because of paperwork issues, but they went the extra mile to make everything all right. One of the BEST experiences I had for a service appointment. Their new service advisor (Ben) kept me up to date with everything even during a simple 20,000 mile service.
