Spoke with Mike and Tim regarding you personally. You purchased a 2010 Malibu with in 2015 along with an extended service contract. In 2016, you brought your vehicle in for a transmission repair. We repaired it. You came back a year later stating you felt the transmission was still not correct. We reviewed the transmission and it was working as it was designed to do. Since that time, we have never seen you or your vehicle at our dealership. Last week, you brought your vehicle to us with a transmission issue and asked us to repair at no charge. Unfortunately the warranty on both the transmission and the extended service contract is out of date and mileage. You can be assured, if we could self approve GM or the extended warranty company to pay for your transmission repair, we would. That is the business we are in. GM does offer a service that helps customers pay for repairs after warranty but the math takes into consideration all your service dollars spent at a GM dealership. Since your vehicle was serviced at a non GM dealership, those dollars were not credited to provide a loyalty discount. I personally reviewed your situation, contacted Gm and the Extended Service Agreement company begging for help, for you. They declined an now you are saying that we are the reason why you are unhappy and that we are just the worst people in the world. I appreciate your frustration and really wish you did not feel this way about us. While we really dislike bad reviews, we get them and sometimes they are justified. This is how we improve our business. However, reviews must be truthful and based on the voice recordings on your interactions with my team, your frustration seems to be around us not repairing your vehicle for free. Not poor customer service. You left me a message without a return phone number just saying you were unhappy and you were going to leave bad reviews and blast them all over the place. Thank you for your feedback. We absolutely do honor appointments that are drop offs as well. If a customer does not have an appointment, they are placed at the very end of the line, which is usually a 6 day wait for something to be worked on by our Journeymen. People in the waiting room are only there for oil changes/tire rotations or minor work that does not require a Journeyman. Check Engine Lights (CEL) and other engine problems are diagnosed by journeymen because a CEL can be an indication of extremely serious problems that require a technician with a higher level of training than someone who is only responsible for oil changes and tire rotations. As should have been explained by your Service Advisor, it does usually take 24-48 hours to get vehicles in to our Journeymen for diagnostics due to the high volume that we experience at Jim Butler Chevrolet. So in your situation, it sounds like we got things going quite quickly. I would be happy to look into this further if you provide your name.
