Since you asked for my honest feedback, my family’s experiences with Jim Butler Chevrolet of Fenton have been extremely disappointing. This wasn't an isolated inconvenience; it's been a pattern of poor experiences with Jim Butler Chevrolet of Fenton have been extremely disappointing. This wasn't an isolated inconvenience; it's been a pattern of poor communication, inadequate transparency, and questionable business practices across multiple visits. During our most recent experience, communication from the service advisor was unacceptable. I repeatedly called and left voicemails to get basic information about my wife’s Tahoe, but I never received a response. When a dealership has possession of a family’s vehicle, the customer should not have to chase down the advisor just to learn what is happening, what repairs are needed, or how much they may be expected to pay. There was also a significant lack of transparency regarding the warranty and what it covered. We were not given clear, consistent information upfront, making it impossible to understand our financial responsibility or make informed decisions. The problems surrounding the rental vehicle added even more frustration, inconvenience, and expense to an already poorly handled situation. Unfortunately, this was not our first negative experience with the service department. Right before Thanksgiving, an issue arose with my wife’s vehicle while I was on duty at the firehouse. The service advisor told us that the vehicle was not safe to drive, yet also said that Jim Butler could not provide my wife with a rental vehicle. Telling a customer that her vehicle is unsafe while offering no reasonable transportation solution placed my wife and our family in an extremely difficult position. After that visit, we had the Tahoe back for less than 12 hours before the check engine light came on again. Although it was described as a separate problem, it involved the same related system. Jim Butler initially indicated that the warranty would not be honored for the additional repair. Only after I took the time to sit down personally with the service manager did the dealership ultimately agree to take care of it. While I appreciate that the service manager eventually resolved that particular warranty issue, a customer should not have to repeatedly call, leave unanswered voicemails, argue over warranty coverage, and request a face-to-face meeting with management just to receive reasonable service. The time and effort required to get straightforward communication and fair treatment were unacceptable. I am a full-time firefighter with a wife and two children. When I am at the firehouse, my family depends on a safe, reliable vehicle. We are a working family with real financial responsibilities, and these experiences with Jim Butler have set us back financially in a significant way. This was not simply an inconvenience. It affected our transportation, our finances, my time away from my family, and our ability to manage everyday responsibilities—right before a major holiday in one instance. I understand that vehicles develop problems, repairs take time, and warranties have limitations. What I cannot accept is the lack of communication, unanswered voicemails, unclear and inconsistent explanations about warranty coverage, mishandling of the rental situation, and the need to escalate matters to management before receiving a reasonable resolution. Taken together, these experiences demonstrate poor business practices and have completely destroyed my trust in Jim Butler Chevrolet. My family will never return for service or purchase another vehicle from the dealership. I also cannot, in good conscience, recommend Jim Butler to my friends, family, fellow firefighters, coworkers, or anyone else in my community. If asked about the dealership, I will honestly share our experience and advise people to take their business elsewhere. Jim Butler didn't just lose a service customer. The dealership permanently lost an entire family’s business because of how we were treated. More

Service dept has issues so wouldn’t buy a vehicle at this dealership because getting it serviced is a hassle. Good at selling cars, just not good at servicing them afterwards. dealership because getting it serviced is a hassle. Good at selling cars, just not good at servicing them afterwards. More

On the second visit they then replaced the AC compressor. This did not solve the problem. On the third visit the problem became intermittent and would not present itself to the service technician. Throughout this process it was very difficult to get updates from my service advisor as to the status of the repairs or investigation into the problem. I had to call repeatedly and even go to the dealership in person to get updates. More
