We have always been pleased with the service provided by James Woods. Dason was our service technician and worked with us as we tried to work with our insurance provider. James Woods has always been top notch in their service department until my last 2 visits. I ordered a retractable bed cover from GM and had it delivered to James Woods for installation. Upon it arrival I received a call from the parts department letting me know it had arrived. I promptly called the service department to schedule the installation. I had given them two dates that would work for me, the lady said let me check, she came back and said it would have to stay all day and gave me 2 dates they had open. She said the work would been done by a different department than service, I chose Dec. 23rd. She said it would need to be there at 8:15. So on Dec. 23rd we brought the truck. We live about an hour away so I wanted to make sure the correct bed cover was ordered so I went into the parts department just to make sure. This is where I became uneasy about this process. The guy at the front desk looked it up and showed me a picture of what was being installed. I said that doesn’t look anything like what I ordered. He said he hated that happened and he had what I need instock but unfortunately he could not refund my money on the other. I said to him is there anyway you can look up my order because I know that is not what I ordered. He said he didn’t think so but would try. I told him well I can pull it up I had gotten a receipt. While I was looking up my receipt he found my order and oh you did order the right cover. Now I am a little upset because I didn’t know if he was just trying to get me to buy one from James Woods or not. So back to my dealing with the service advisor before going to the parts department. I asked what time they close and she said we close at 7. I said the department that is doing the work what time do they close she said 5. I said great because we were hoping to get going for Christmas by 7 that evening. She asked me if the phone number she had on file was the number to call if they needed something or when the truck was finished. I told her no and gave her my number . So that is when we went to the parts department. We left and about a couple of hours later my husband gets a text from her tell him she would send a text when it was ready and if he needed anything he could text her on that number . Well that was not the number o gave her to contact!! So at 3:00 I texted her from my husbands phone and asked for an update. I told her we live an hour away and would need to leave by 4 since the department doing the work quits at 5. She text back they close at 7. I texted back you had said the department doing the work was closing at 5 so will the truck be ready at 5. No response. I asked again no response. She then said it was not quite done . I then called James Woods to aske what time the make ready department closes and was told 7 but they leave when they have finished all their jobs. She asked me if I would like to speak to someone in make ready and I said yes thank you. She transferred me to makeready so I ask the lady that answered the phone if she could tell me an estimate on what time my truck would be ready. She asked me to hold and I did. She came back on and said they had not received the truck yet I would need to talk to my service advisor. This is around 3:15 or so, I was furious. I told my husband I wanted to go ahead and go to James Woods. We left around 3:30 and got to James Woods around 4:30. We drove the the parking lot and saw my pickup sitting at make ready with the bedcover installed. So in about an hour they had received my truck and installed the bedcover. Why did I have to leave it all day?? So we pulled up to the service department and parked and waited inside his truck to receive the call from the service department letting me know my truck was ready. About 5 my husband received the call that the truck was ready. I answered the call it was not from our service advisor was was a man this time. I told him we were in the parking lot so I would come in to get I have more!!!!!!! More
