I brought my brand new type s mdx (their top of the line suv, $75k) into their service center to honor the Acura warranty. The brakes have a high pitched screeching noise when applying pressure from stopping. I was told by Yvonne our service advisor that 4 people including technicians drove the car and they didn’t hear anything. During this time they also had to repair the steering column shaft as that was vibrating. Yvonne stated that there seems to be some issues with that model she has seen from previous customers, but they would handle all the issues. I told Yvonne I would come back and take a ride with her to show her the brake screeching. She said no problem. I arrived and she quickly stated that they only drove it in the parking lot in reverse in slow speeds and there was no noise so there is nothing they could do if they couldn’t recreate it. I told her I would like to drive around the block to show her. Within one minute of leaving the service center the screeching happened. Her face turned white and immediately she said we didn’t hear that when we did it. I then again stepped on the brakes and she said wow ok yes I can hear that. I drove immediately back to the service center where she called Rodney the service manager. She stated on the phone to him, she heard the noises and was asking him what to do. This was in the presence of myself and my husband. We asked for a loaner and was told no, as there is no issue with the brakes and no resolution. I then opened a case with Acura corporate and was told if the dealership acknowledges the brake screeching Acura could assist. When I reached out to Rodney again, he stated that Yvonne said there was no noise and there was no issue. So not only is Yvonne lying but so is Rodney. How disgusting of a business to take advantage of a women and making me feel crazy and discriminated against, when all I am asking for is them to fix a fully warrantied top of the line vehicle. Rodney and Yvonne should be ashamed of yourself and that is certainly not the claims of Harvey Jackson “everything we do, we do with excellence”. More

The technician did not replace my oil filler cap. I’ve been advised to replace a suspension part prematurely. Your costs for major service is out of line with other repair shops.
