Great group of individuals who are very friendly. My only request would be that you have loaner cars for customer during maintenance or service request. This would be more convenient because the shuttle only request would be that you have loaner cars for customer during maintenance or service request. When I waxed it for the first time, I noticed that the front bumper had a larger-than-normal gap. As time passed, the gap grew more obvious so on 10/28/19 I brought the car to Jack Ingram's service department. A service rep looked at it and then had someone from the body shop look at it because they wanted to blame us for getting in an accident or something else to have caused the problem. When they couldn't find any sign of damage (because there isn't any) they determined it needed a new bumper, covered under warranty. Supposedly a new bumper was ordered; however, two months passed and I never heard back from anyone. I guess I made the mistake of thinking that the bumper would be ordered and that someone would call me to notify me. On 12/26/19 I called and left a voicemail message for the service rep that supposedly ordered the bumper asking the status of the bumper. He didn't call me back so the the next day I called again and spoke to a female in the service dept. who left me on hold for about 10 minutes and then transferred me to the body shop. The body shop had no record of it and when I told the man it was a warranty item, he said I needed to speak to someone in the service department. I told him I already had an they clearly had no information on the bumper so had transferred me to him. He said he'd speak to the service rep who I originally dealt with and call me back. That was 4+ hours ago - I'm still waiting to see if anyone actually calls me back. How long does it take to see if a bumper was ever ordered? This experience has reminded me why, when our GTI was totaled we didn't immediately buy another VW -- because Jack Ingram has THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE WE'VE EVER EXPERIENCED ANYWHERE AT ANY DEALERSHIP. I love how they claim to be "the premier VW dealership in the Montgomery area." They're the ONLY VW dealership in the Montgomery area because if there were another option, I NEVER would have gone back to Jack Ingram. Guess I should have thought of that when I fell in love with my VW Beetle Convertible final edition. I'd also like to mention that when we had our other VW, the parts department marked up a wheel we wanted to buy over what Volkswagon's main website sold the exact same wheel for. When my husband called the parts guy on it, he whined about how they "needed to be able to make a profit." Money is the only thing this dealership cares about -- be wise, don't give them yours. More
Horrible Service Department - Buyer Beware Our VW GTI, which we purchased at Jack Ingram, either stays in the shop or needs to be in the shop. Our experience with the service department at thi Our VW GTI, which we purchased at Jack Ingram, either stays in the shop or needs to be in the shop. Our experience with the service department at this dealer could not be worse. We have bought several new cars form JI over the years but because of the horrible JI service department, we are done with them. Our car often stays in the shop for weeks at a time, even for simple issues. Our car has now been in the shop since Tuesday of this week for a simple 30 minute fix (rear window regulator). Just minutes ago we were told that they forgot to order “rivets” because they are “not reusable” so our car, which we need, will not be ready until next Tuesday. I doubt it will be ready then. So, that is one week for a less than an hour fix. But, this is an improvement over the 3 weeks it took for our water pump. Even then, our car was losing water and showing low fluid alerts, yet they could not figure out what was wrong. I told them countless times that the water pumps were prone to go out on these cars. They sent us home only for the car to keep losing fluids. Finally, I dropped it off again and miraculously they found a “tiny” whole, and replaced the water pump. Well, I was right because our car has not lost fluids since the water pump was replaced. Because of the complete circus we experience each and every time we drop our car off for service, we are done with this dealer. There are more stories, but I can’t worth forever. More
Love my car & even more so, the easy process of getting it! Trey was very helpful in what could've been a painful process; going through the numbers of buying a new car is never fun. With Trey, I felt as if the Trey was very helpful in what could've been a painful process; going through the numbers of buying a new car is never fun. With Trey, I felt as if the nonsense part was completely surpassed and the fun part, driving it off the lot, was expedited exponentially. His knowledge was above reproach. I went in knowing nothing other than I wanted a sedan. He took it from there and placed me faster than a ricky tick. His demeanor was extremely inviting; which, made the process even more painless. One minor hitch that is a procedural thing more so than anything else is that I wish the inspections were done on site before the purchase. It would make buyers feel a lot better knowing that we weren't buying a work in progress. That is to say if it were to fail something. More

Jack Ingram service called me a few hours later to ask me if my car had ever been modified. They told me there were parts they did not recognize on the car even though they had VW stamped on them. Since I purchased it used in NC I had no knowledge of the car being modified. Jack Ingram VW told me they were not familier with the parts so the car would have to be put back to stock before the emissions repair could happen. They could do this for a cool $ 3300. I told them to do nothing as I called my son, an mechanical engineer, to ask him. Within 10 minutes my son had found where there was a tech service bulletin from VW for cars in cold climates. My son called the original dealer and sure enough there was a VW modification made on the car but the original dealer said that should have made no difference whether the emissions fix was done or not. After my son made Jack Ingram aware they no longer wanted the 3300 and rather blaming VW. If my son found this tech service bulletin within 10 minutes using Google image how fast someone should find it that has the resources available to a certified dealer. To add insult to injury they took a part off my car and did not return it to me until I noticed it and called them on it. I noticed the car starting harder and it threw and engine code. They said VW told them to do it as part of the fix. Maybe but at least it should have been brought to my attention and returned to me when we picked the car up. If I didn't have a very knowledgeable son advising me I am afraid they would have cost me thousands in unnecessary repairs. Be weary. More
