Absolute worst car dealership I've ever worked with. I attempted to cosign on a vehicle for my sister. After test driving a 2022 hybrid Hyundai Elantra Sunday afternoon, we sat down with the sales perso I attempted to cosign on a vehicle for my sister. After test driving a 2022 hybrid Hyundai Elantra Sunday afternoon, we sat down with the sales person to start the paperwork to purchase the vehicle. In addition to signing paperwork for the vehicle, he took copies of our DL's and had us complete a credit app. He also had my sister add the vehicle to her insurance policy which she did. At 4:00pm the finance manager said they were still waiting for a couple credit unions to respond back which wouldn't be until Monday so they took a copy of my bank card for the $5,000 down payment I was putting on the car and we left. Monday afternoon the sales person calls my sister asking for her 1099 and bank stmts. She provided them, but received a text from the sales person shortly after apologizing that the car had just been sold. Really??? I'm upset because my credit was pulled for NO REASON and now I have 4 inquiries on my credit report for NOTHING. Prior to my credit being pulled I had an 836, 847, & 849 credit score. I was cosigning to help my sister get back on her feet and rebuild her credit after her divorce. All I walked away with are 4 new inquiries on my credit report for a car that was sold to someone else. My sister had to get a letter from the dealership proving she never took possession of the vehicle so she wouldn't be charged for the insurance she put on the vehicle the day prior. What kind of dealership has a person put insurance on a car they're going to sell to someone else?? I've worked in the banking industry for 23 years and know how credit works. Even if my sister wasn't going to be approved with me as her cosigner (I guess we'll never know??), I was going to buy the car in cash instead, but was never given the opportunity. I can't believe a dealership can operate this way. I'm a sales person myself so I get it, a dealership is in the business to sell cars and make money, but this dealership has shown they will do it at any cost.... More
