Unfortunately my 2017 Mazda CX9 with only 45,000 miles developed a coolant leak which ended up coming from the cylinder head! Basically my engine was toast. We took great care of our vehicle and had its r developed a coolant leak which ended up coming from the cylinder head! Basically my engine was toast. We took great care of our vehicle and had its routine service performed by Huntington Beach Mazda. Found out in doing web searches that this is a known issue for my vehicle and year. Long story short, my warranty had recently expired but David Hernandez helped me through the process of appealing to Mazda corporate as this should never happen at this low of miles unless there are defects to the engine. With David’s help, Huntington Beach Mazda was able to get the warranty extended to cover a new partial engine replace with only a deductible cost to me. Once it was worked out with Corporate (took about a week and a half), HB Mazda quickly ordered the parts and had it fixed in only a week. This is amazing as fixes of this complexity can easily be two or three weeks. Our car is running great now. Hats off to HB Mazda and David. (David kept me informed throughout the process with clear and honest communication.) More
