Very low-key, no-pressure experience I was directed to Huntington Beach Mazda by their sister dealer, Tustin Mazda (who were also very helpful). They called ahead and arranged a contact w I was directed to Huntington Beach Mazda by their sister dealer, Tustin Mazda (who were also very helpful). They called ahead and arranged a contact with Joe Balisalisa, who was friendly and easy to deal with right off the bat. As he took us across the lot, a certified 2013 Mazda3 hatchback caught my eye. Very pretty little car, and it was the (I) Grand Touring model, so it was nicely loaded. I was originally set on the redesign from 2014 and up, but once I drove the 2013, I was pretty interested. Still, this was early in my car search, so I tested various cars at multiple other dealers over the next few days. Joe stayed in touch without pressure, and as it turned out, nothing I drove that was in my price range was comparable to the 2013. I went back, drove it again, and was sold. Joe worked with me on the price till I was comfortable, and the whole transaction went smoothly and easily. I've had the car for almost two weeks and I love it. I'll add that along with looking at other makes, I also shopped at another Mazda dealership further north, and was unimpressed. Their salesman spent most of my test drive texting, and tried to put me in a car I had no interest in when I was looking for a lower price on the car I came to see. That's the kind of experience that puts people off buying cars, and I was dreading having to deal with cheesy "managers" who come skulking out of back offices to shake hands and say things like "how can I earn your business?" (and then ignore your answer, ugh). Happily, there was none of that at Huntington Beach. I knew there'd be something of a hard sell on warranty protections, and I was prepared for it, but otherwise, no one did any "selling" at all. There's a lot of turnover in car sales, but Joe has been there for 14 years. Any company that can retain employees for so long is probably doing something right. They really made this easy for me and I appreciate it. More

We test drove the car, showed me some features, and worked with me on the price and payments. I left the dealer really happy with my new car, and it worked out for me with my budget. I definitely recommend going to this dealer as they have great customer service and are not the pushy sales people you think of when you think about car buying. More
