We brought in our new 2022 Hyundai Palisade for service. Our rear bumper back up sensors started to throw errors that 'back up sensors are broken or blocked' when placed in reverse. This is a brand new, 5 m Our rear bumper back up sensors started to throw errors that 'back up sensors are broken or blocked' when placed in reverse. This is a brand new, 5 month old SUV. After 4 hours, we called for an update, only to be told that they can't diagnose or troubleshoot the issue. They have no idea how to proceed and need to call their 'Specialist' and send him videos for help. After the 5th hour, we get a phone call that they think our rear sensors might have been in an impact and it will cost $179 to remove the bumper and run diagnostic tests...on a brand new, bumper to bumper warrantied vehicle, with no body/paint damage anywhere. They refuse to remove the bumper and run diagnostics on a warrantied vehicle, without me agreeing to pay $179. They claim there is a very "superficial" minor scratch or scuff mark in the general area of the rear bumper and that may be the cause of the "4 or more sensors across the entire rear of the vehicle failing". There are no scratches or scuff marks, just an attempt to refuse warrantied work and bully customers for another payout. More

Original date: Dec 06, 2021 Took my car in for service. The car was purchased new from the dealership under 1 year before. During the service, one of the dealership employees crashed my car into another The car was purchased new from the dealership under 1 year before. During the service, one of the dealership employees crashed my car into another one causing damage to the rear section. They were "too busy" to take the car into their body shop until Jan of 2022. They scheduled an appointment for me to bring the car into Horne Hyundai on Jan 3, 2022, and they would provide a loaner of equivalent class as my SUV. I arrived on Jan 3 and they said they had no SUVs available and sent me to a rental car place, which they wanted to charge me for a deposit and hold on my charge card, which I declined to participate in. I was returned to the Dealership and the Service Director/Manager Matt promised to call me when the first available loaner vehicle was returned. From Jan 3 til the middle of March, I was not contacted, at all, by Horne Hyundai. I was finally able to speak with Matt during the week of 14 March 2022, over 3 months after they damaged my car. He assured me that there would be a loaner available during the next week, and he would call me either way. He did not! I called several times during the week of the 21st of March to express my frustration and Horne Hyundai's lack of Customer Service. At that time, I was again assured of a vehicle within the next week. On March 29, I received a voicemail stating exactly "We just received a Palisade in and it is going to be held for you to pick up the next day". He stated he would not be available but "service writer" Michael would take care of delivering the Palisade loaner to me. Today, March 30th, I arrived to pick up the loaner and drop off my Sante Fe Limited, and Michael brings out a base model Santa Fe. He then states the Palisade was not returned. So, I played him the voicemail from Manager Matt which clearly stated the car was there and available and stated that you or Matt are liars and I'm done with the dealership! Fix my car! More
