Sexist & disrespectful sales rep who illegally ran credit. Management promised to correct credit issue, but haven’t. I went with a list of 6 vehicles I wanted to see. I was paired with the owner’s credit. Management promised to correct credit issue, but haven’t. I went with a list of 6 vehicles I wanted to see. I was paired with the owner’s brother Ritchie as a rep who was the most disrespectful human I’ve met. When I got there I went to the bathroom while my fiancé informed Ritchie we were car shopping for me. Despite Ritchie being aware we were shopping for me, he told my love he didn’t need to wait for me since “As the man of the house you make all the money”! Once I got back from the bathroom I pulled up my list and Ritchie refused to pull one of the cars around. He told me “You can walk this entire lot to look at cars and came back in for the key”. After my fiancé pushed a bit Ritchie pulled around a vehicle that had lane assist. During the drive, he showed me the feature and when I was impressed he actually said “It’s great, but that doesn’t mean you use it to put on makeup, text, or whatever else it is you like to do when you drive!” At this point I already knew I wasn’t buying a vehicle from this terrible man but I did want to look at a few more cars anyway. I drove one more vehicle and liked it but it was a higher ticket price than I wanted to spend after their dealer fees. While driving the second car Ritchie asked about my income. When I told him he audibly scoffed.. like he didn’t believe me. He then asked about my credit score to which I responded “It’s amazing.” He was visibly shocked and said “Okay. We’ll see..”. After I expressed that the car is higher in price than I wanted to spend, Ritchie said “I’m sure if you skip McDonald’s a few times a week you could pay for it no problem!” My fiancé was on a phone call in the backseat so he didn’t hear this but at this point I was absolutely done! Ritchie had already shown me that he was lazy, sexist, fat phobic, unable to express human decency, and clearly undeservingly of a commission check. Ritchie briefly left my love and I alone and we agreed there was no way we’d give this horrid man a commission (on top of the few terrible things he’d said to me, when my love was available to speak Ritchie would exclusively direct conversation at him despite the MULTIPLE times it was made clear that I was the one looking for a vehicle!). That said my love, who is also a salesman, enjoys bargaining so he decided to see how low he could get the vehicle price. Prior to the negotiation Ritchie ran my credit without obtaining my signed (or even verbal) permission which is 100% illegal!!!!! Then during the negotiations he made the McDonald’s “joke” a SECOND TIME! At this point my love and I were ready to walk so Ritchie returned with his sales manager to push the sale.. and AGAIN Ritchie made the McDonald’s joke this time in front of management. The manager was clearly taken aback but failed to address the disrespectful comment. A few days later I reached out to the dealership regarding my experience with the owner’s brother, and the sales director Cory Wilson apologized on his behalf, he also said they’d send both me and the credit bureau a letter to remove the hard check as well as call me back to see if I’d like to view any vehicles on the lot with a different rep. It has now been over a month and not only did I never receive the letter, but the hard hit is still on my credit report, and I have yet to receive another call. I can say with absolute certainty I will never set foot into this location or any of the Sutton dealerships again! I refuse to put money into a branch that allows such disrespect of the customers, carelessness on the part of the reps, and lack of follow-through to resolve issues by management. Please be wise and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. More
This is the very first time that I was absolutely pleased with not only the dealership but especially the sales person Roberto was absolutely a gentleman explaining in details everything that he did and what with not only the dealership but especially the sales person Roberto was absolutely a gentleman explaining in details everything that he did and whats the best thing for us I didnt have to wait there for hours like other dealership and I am a static about it I am not overly happy with the vehicle but just the way I was treated and the accommodations they made for us I would give if they were more than five stars I will give it to them absolutely pleased thank you so much Honda of Kenosha and Mr. Roberto I would definitely use them again when I need another vehicle and I wish they would take lessons from this dealership and from the sales person how to treat people thank you Kathy Raimondi More
