I am currently looking for a new SUV. When I was browsing the Homer Skelton Hyundai dealerships website I was offered a promotion to take a test drive and receive a $25.00 gift card. I went on 07/27/21 to te the Homer Skelton Hyundai dealerships website I was offered a promotion to take a test drive and receive a $25.00 gift card. I went on 07/27/21 to test drive a New Koni and Tucson. When arriving I stated that I was there to test drive and had registered for the promotion. I was told at first they had a New Tucson that was in the repair shop because of a defect in the air conditioner but I could still drive it. Then I was told that it was taken apart and was not available for the test drive. They did not have a Koni for me to test drive. They offered a used Tucson to take for a test drive and being that I drove from Memphis I said ok I will test drive the used Tucson. When I finished the test drive the gentleman that was going to get the gift card ready was having trouble getting it processed. I gave him the code that was texted to me and he said I should receive it in my email later if not to give him a call. After not receiving the email I called the dealership the next morning and was told a manager by the name of Natasha was getting it ready. I then received a call from her verifying the information. She stated that she was getting ready to send it. Hours later I called the dealership back after I did not get it and she stated it had already been redeemed on 07/26/2021 a day before I even came in. I escalated the call to the general manager but got a voice mail. I called back and was transferred to another manager David. He stated that the promotion was a National Promotion that was done by Hyundai and that the dealership had nothing to do with it. He gave me Hyundai’s number and after calling them they stated it was a promotion done by the dealership and that I would have to work it out with them. This dealership obviously scammed me over a $25 dollar visa that if it was redeemed like I was told then someone from Homer Skeleton Hyundai has committed fraud. I was lied to by management several times and my information was used to redeem a gift card for someone other than me. This business practice is not only unethical it is fraudulent. If they act this was over a $25 gift card I am so glad I will never do business with them. More
