I was told by the salesman that we had a car deal so my wife and son drove 6 hours (one way) only to find out that the car needed repairs. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received at Homer Skelton Hyundai. I brought my 2016 Hyundai Equus in for suspension repairs under warranty on November 4, 2024, and my vehicle remained with the dealership for 38 days, during which time the repair process was plagued by delays, poor communication, and unresolved issues. Not only did the service department fail to fix the original suspension problem, but they also repeatedly ordered the wrong parts, causing significant delays. During this time, I was left without transportation, which created major inconvenience and unnecessary hardship. When I finally picked up my car, not only were the original suspension problems still not fixed properly, but a new issue—a noise coming from the front of the vehicle—had appeared. The service department then claimed that the front rims are bent and that the car likely needs two new tires, neither of which were issues prior to bringing my vehicle to this dealership. Key Issues: Prolonged Repair Time: My car was kept at the dealership for over a month without resolution. Wrong Parts Ordered: The repeated ordering of incorrect parts delayed the repair process unnecessarily. Poor Communication: Despite my repeated follow-ups, updates on the repair status were inconsistent and unhelpful. Introduction of New Problems: My vehicle now has additional issues that were not present before the service. Lack of Accountability: The service department offered no satisfactory explanation or resolution for the ongoing problems. It is clear that this dealership is plagued by mismanagement and a lack of professionalism. Homer Skelton Hyundai needs a complete overhaul of its management team to provide the level of service customers deserve. Furthermore, Hyundai should seriously consider stripping its name from this dealership, as the current operations reflect poorly on the Hyundai brand. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone. If you value your time and money, avoid Homer Skelton Hyundai. Sincerely, Michael McKinney
Michael Carr was so helpful and nice . I have owned a Hyundai since 2016 and this is the Place to go. Could never ask for better service, ASk for Michael
I own a 2019 Hundai Santa Fe . It has a check engine light on. Code reads knock sensor. Did research on this and learned it could be caused by bearings in engine. Long stiry short, stopped at service dept today and was told it would be 45-60 days before they can get it looked at. Either they need more mechanics, better management or someone to build a fire under the mechanics they have. This is absolutely uncalled for. NO MORE HUNDAIS FOR ME> Get this onee fixed and bye bye
I purchased my 5th car from Homer Skelton Hyundai on 11/28/2022. It is a 2023 Hyundai Kona Limited and it was a pleasure to work with Brandon Harbin. I contacted him on Saturday with what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the model was not in stock, but in the dock in Alabama. I put down a deposit for arrival. I viewed their website Saturday evening and found another that I really liked. I texted Brandon with the info and I went in Monday morning and the sale was complete in an hour and half. I purchased a 2023 Hyundai Kona Limited as a surprise gift for my wife, and needless to say, she was Ecstatic!!!! I recommend Homer Skelton Hyundai to anyone interested in a New or Used vehicle. Thanks Again!!!!!
I met with General Manager, Chris Fite about my issues with the Service dept. He was very Nice & Courteous, listened to my complaints & we were able to come up with a solution that I was pleased with. While I'm not happy with Doug in the service dept, There are some other good people that Will listen & work with you in this dealership. Thanks Chris Fite
