The experience, from the initial contact through the vehicle pick up, was outstanding. All of the individuals that I dealt with were professional, respectful and knew their product. The negotiations went smoothly. I didn't get all that I wanted but neither the dealer. My initial impression of the car is very favorable. I traded in a 2012 Acura TL and this is IMO a better automobile. As as FYI, I did a lot of research on this and other vehicles prior to buying. So far, so good. I've purchased quite a few new cars over the last 5 years, and I'm not new to the pressure that is anticipated to come from a salesman when entering a dealership, but with Norbert at Hoffman Lexus, the years, and I'm not new to the pressure that is anticipated to come from a salesman when entering a dealership, but with Norbert at Hoffman Lexus, the experience was great. I've dealt with salesmen that were far too pushy, or gave me the sense that they did not respect me as a buyer or someone who might know a thing or two about cars, but with Norbert, that was not the case. He was still a salesman, he still used the strategies we all come to expect from them, however he was never at any point over the top, pushy, or making me uncomfortable. I came in looking for a very specific certified pre-owned lexus, and he did a great job at finding multiple cars for me to choose from (one of which I ended up purchasing a few days later) that weren't outside my parameters. Nothing's more annoying than asking for a white coupe with 10,000 miles, and you're shoved into a blue sedan with 40,000 miles. As a mechanical engineer, I know a little bit about what makes a car tick, and in the past I've dealt with salesmen that felt like they were going out of their way to prove me wrong or make me feel dumb, but Norbert actually listened, and understood my concerns and did a great job of addressing them, and even found someone from the service department to answer a question he wasn't 100% sure on. When it came time to crunch numbers with him too, he was not unreasonable. I did my homework ahead of time, and he never once gave me the impression that we couldn't make a deal we both could agree on. Their financial managers were also very clear and reasonable as well while explaining additional coverages like extended warranties and the simoniz protections, I didn't feel like they were jerking me around at any point. As a dealership, they take care of you. I ran into a minor issue with one of the break calipers a few months after I took home the car I purchased, and no questions asked, they took it back and fixed it, gave me a free rental (newer version of the same car) in the meantime, and even feed me food. As long as I'm in the market for a new or used lexus, I'm absolutely heading back there, and I'll definitely ask for Norbert again. More
