The whole transaction was professionally handled by this amazing team. We felt welcomed and well taken care of. Loved the red ribbon on top of car when we came to pick it up. Was a nice touch. Michael and Sheriff were very nice and helpful and also have a great sense of humor. We highly recommend you ask for them if you are in need of a new or used vehicle. My wife and I got a good deal on the new car we wanted, but there were some issues with some of the new technology. Met with the tech specialist and resolved most but not the major issue. He promised to find a fix and get back in touch ASAP. Over the next 9 days he ignored 4 texts and the salesman never responded to phone messages. At that point I contacted another dealer and the problem was fixed within 15 minutes over the phone. I’ll be going to another dealer for continuing service. More
I was in the market to lease a 2022 Lexus GX. I contacted the 7 Lexus dealers in a 100 mile radius. They all had similar lease figures, with the exception of Hoffman. Ben Podchaiski of Hoffman claimed my current leased vehicle had $10,000 of equity. This would make my monthly payment at least $110 less than some of the other Lexus dealers. I asked him if that was a real and accurate number. I informed him that I would be driving 90 miles (180 miles round trip) to their dealership. He said “yes”. When we arrived, the GX was warming up. My wife and I went on a test drive by ourselves and fell in love with GX. Within 10 minutes of sitting at Ben’s desk, the equity of my current leased vehicle was reduced to $5,800. The reason was they weren’t allowed to buy my Cadillac from GM. GM wanted it back to sell it themselves. This could have been confirmed before we made the trip and communicated to us. My wife and I were understandably upset. But we looked at the positive. The $5,800 being offered was $5,800 more than any other dealer. So, we had to come up with the difference of $4,200 to get the monthly payment back to what it was originally quoted. At this point, we figured the worse was behind us. It wasn’t. They still had one more thing up their sleeve. We sat in Mike’s office (business manager) to sign the financial paperwork. That is when he asked us for the first month’s payment. My jaw dropped. This is always included in the down payment. This is my 6th leased vehicle and my wife has leased 8. We have never had the first month’s payment broken out separately from the down payment. This was very underhanded! If they would have been up front with the actual equity of my vehicle, we would have still made the trip and leased the GX. If they added the first month’s lease payment on top of the $4,200 down payment, we still would have leased it. I would have given them 5 stars, because it was the best deal out of the 7 dealers. I was going to give them a 3 star rating, but they partially redeemed themselves by having the GX delivered to me and my Cadillac picked up. That saved me almost 4 hours of driving. I just hope someone of authority in the Hoffman organization reads this and makes the necessary changes to prevent these negative tactics happening to other customers. More

I have purchased 3 Lexus vehicles from Hoffman Lexus in East Hartford. I have always worked with Tom Ryan as the salesman. Tom is customer service driven, extremely knowledgeable about the product, and is trustworthy. Tom is a no nonsense guy who works with you to buy a car. He’s honest, hard working, a great communicator, and he doesn’t forget who you are after the sale. Anything you need to make the experience more positive, he gets it done. Tom has repeat customers because of the way he treats everybody. Tom has been selling the Lexus product for years and has always been professional, upfront, and honest. There’s no pressure to buy a car. He treats you like a member of the family and follows through with all that he promised. Walter Pethick- Sales Manager and Mike Robare - Finance Manager made the overall process very easy. All of the required paperwork was completed prior to my arrival and there were no surprises. Great crew to work with throughout the process. I noticed one minor problem with the rear bumper and Bill Larson from the Body Shop immediately contacted me, came to my house to pick up the vehicle, and made the repair in a timely manner. Everyone you meet at Hoffman Lexus goes out of their way to ensure you are happy and satisfied with your purchase. More
Unfortunately I was unable to test drive any vehicles. I had a scheduled appointment and when I arrived I was barely greeted. I was asked to wait as the person I was scheduled to meet with was with another had a scheduled appointment and when I arrived I was barely greeted. After waiting for 10 minutes, the person I had an appointment with came over and said they were unaware of my appointment and could not help me. I was passed on to someone else who was also busy with another customer. I was told to go out and look at the used inventory as I waited to test drive the suv I originally scheduled to see, 2021 RX. As I waited I watch a women walk in who appeared not to have an appointment at all. She was greeted, test drove the vehicle I planned to drive and left with a brochure, all within 15 minutes of arriving. After being there for about 40 minutes without ever being able to test drive the vehicle I planned to purchase, I decided to leave. The customer service was some of the worst I have ever experienced. My husband owns a Lexus and was attempting to have me purchase one as well. After this experience I truly was turned off and was not willing to engage with Hoffmann. After leaving I went Schaller Acura where I was greeted with exceptional service. I left there purchasing a 2021 RDX. It is very unfortunate that there was such a lack of customer service at such a prestigious dealer. More

I still made a deal with Carmino Bonavita over the phone and went in to purchase a 2020 RX350 F Sport. I did all the paperwork and gave a deposit. Few hours later I am being told that vehicle is not available and it was swapped out with another dealer. I drove over 1 hour to go to the dealership. On top of that he refused to give me any paperwork that I signed. I highly recommend thinking twice before going here. More
