I apologize for a lengthy review. We purchased the 2019 ES 350 F Series during the COVID-19 pandemic's shortage of cars. To avoid scams and bad deals with shady dealerships, we wa We purchased the 2019 ES 350 F Series during the COVID-19 pandemic's shortage of cars. To avoid scams and bad deals with shady dealerships, we wanted to buy from a reputable location, so "driven by the trust," we turned to Hoffman in East Hartford, CT. The vehicle looked good, and my wife liked it. It was right off the lease with all service papers in order and was certified (higher sticker price) a no-brainer. We were in a hurry to get my wife a new vehicle because her RX was stolen a few weeks earlier. The ES vehicle's rims were looking rough, thus we chose its reconditioning instead of a $600 break off the price tag. The sale went through. Rims were reconditioned....but the car drove and handled worse than my 10-year-old lawn mower. We returned to the dealership, but at this point, we were sent to the service dep. In the service department, we were told that all 4 rims were bent, and they blamed my wife for riding carelessly. When I asked them to find a single scratch (on previously reconditioned rims by Hoffman) or rip on a low-profile tire - they could not find a single one, which proved their theory baseless. Now, the case gets stuck between the sales and service departments. Sebastian, the Lexus sales manager, and the sales salesperson are returning my phone calls asking for their assistance in this matter since they sold us a certified Lexus with damaged rims. Consequently, I was told by the service dep that the rims could be fixed, but the service dep will not pay for the new rims. Yes, they were previously reconditioned by Hoffman. I paid an additional $500. A few days later, the "fixed" rims were reinstalled on my wife's ES - on the way home from the Hoffman dealership, the shim and vibrations were coming through the driver's seat while the front handled better. I called service to take the car back otherwise I would call Lexus USA with a complaint. They did take it back, without informing us they would put used rims on, probably off another vehicle, and never bothered to apologize for the inconvenience nor offered money back for what we lost on salvaging bad rims - a total of $1100 on a CERTIFIED vehicle!! Meanwhile, the trunk of the car gives my wife intermittent problems. Sometimes it opens, sometimes it does not. Back to service again to address the issue. The service dep manager says "Well, the car was in two accidents to the rear of the vehicle. Probably that's why we have a problem with your trunk". My wife flipped. Accidents? Two of them? On the certified Lexus from Hoffman? AND NOBODY BOTHERED TO TELL US ABOUT IT BEFORE WE BOUGHT A $45K CAR? The service department person was stunned that we were not informed of the car accident history before its purchase. The trunk was fixed under a Lexus warranty. I tried to reach the sales manager again - no response. I left messages with my salesperson - NO RESPONSE! Currently, we lost thousands on the car trade-in value, because CarFax shows two previous accidents while the car was on the lease from Hoffman Lexus. That's our truly disappointing adventure with Hoffman Lexus of East Hartford, CT. More

Was sent a video of the service check-up to visualize what was being recommended. Recommended other repairs that I was told could be held off on. Not wishing to be surprised by a failure of metal components I chose to go forward. A loaner car was arranged and car was ready by closing same day. Everyone was friendly and efficient. Was not rushed through explanations of what was being recommended. Very satisfied with service dept. More

Just purchased my second Lexus from Hoffman Lexus. Both purchases were with Tom Ryan who treated me like family! Patiently answered my numerous questions, was professional and so kind. We worked with Tom Ryan and he did a fantastic job! We saw the car we were interested in online. We don’t live close to the dealership, so Tom agreed to bring the car to us (50 minutes away).
