I didn't have the pleasure of talking with you yesterday since your Mark husband called. It appears like Mark didn't communicate to you about our conversation. Your Jetta is over 8 years old and the factory warranty expired over 2 years ago. I advised Mark, that since we have not seen you or your car for over 5 years for any repair or maintenance that he needed to make an appointment to have us evaluate the condition on your car to determine what the proper course of repair would be. Yes, your car is out of warranty, you did not purchase an extended warranty and there are no valid warranty extensions.  Volkswagen customer care should have advised you that due to the age of your VW, you are outside of the goodwill parameters set by them.
