His refreshing honesty and respect led ultimately to my purchase of an automobile from Heritage. Mason greeted me immediately, answering my questions on the new Scion xB and showed me a new color for an '11 xB on the lot. I had not planned on buying a new xB just yet but he worked up numbers for a tra the new Scion xB and showed me a new color for an '11 xB on the lot. I was quite pleased with his direct responses and effort to get answers if he did not have specific knowledge. In short, I now own a new xB. I dealt with two other sales staff in addition to Mason and found them all to be very courteous and helpful in my purchase of my new Scion. More
My wife and I leased a new Camry. The sales staff was good and knowledgeable, and we had a good overall experience. That was then....40 days ago. This is today. When we leased the car, we provided an good and knowledgeable, and we had a good overall experience. That was then....40 days ago. This is today. When we leased the car, we provided an insurance card, and were told that our insurance company would be called, and the Camry would be added. I specifically asked if I should call my agent before we leave the dealership to add coverage, and was told "No...we will take care of that." I found out today, 40 days later that my insurance company was never called, and that I have been driving around with NO INSURANCE for the past 40 days because the ball was dropped!!!! In these days, where people sue at the drop of a hat, I cannot express the disappointment, and sheer anger at the position I have been put in. THANK GOD nothing has happened which warrants an insurance claim, but if I had hit and killed someone, they would own take my house, my savings, my kids college funds, and I would work for them, for the rest of my life...to say nothing about the massive fine, and HUGE insurance rates I would get for the rest of my life. We were pleased with everything until today....and I hate to say it, but no matter how good the price, and no matter what the perks are that are thrown our way, we will NEVER do business with the Heritage again. It takes a seriously bad experience to give the overall rating "Very Bad". Its one thing to have had some mis-information about car details, or think the price we paid was a little high, but a mistake of this magnitude just cannot be overlooked, and I will buy my next vehicle elsewhere. We met, told him exactly what we were looking for and he worked up something that worked for us right away. He gave us several options and did his best to give us exactly what we were looking for. We knew exactly what we wanted because we are educated consumers and always do extensive research on the products we purchase, especially a purchase of significance important. As we only purchase a new vehicle every 10 years. My past 2 vehicles have been new Toyotas purchased at your dealership, the 2011 Rav 4 being my third new vehicle. We believe that Toyota's are the best vehicle on the market for it's value. Have a professonal and knowledgeable Sales Consultant is very crucial to us, as we are very busy people and our spare time is limited. It was not our intention to place a deposit on a new Rav 4 this past Saturday, but after I saw the vehicle on your lot and took a test drive, I knew I had to have it. Dave was very hands off and did not pressure us in the least, he answered every question we asked and went above and beyond to get us the best price imaginable for our new vehicle. Two days later we were back at your dealership picking up the new Rav 4, that was the fasted vehicle purchase we have made, it was uneventful and very smooth. Joel and I will continue to recommend Heritage Toyota to our family and friends who have the upmost respect for our purchasing decisions. We highly recommend that Dave Juenker be promoted in any way you feel he deserves as he was juggling several clients at a time and never showed any signs of stress. Tuesday: Heritage promised a seat belt part in time for a weekend birthday party (five kids needed five working seat belts.) I had a brother-in-law driving over to NY (from VT) on Friday to deliver one of the kids, so this would work.(Heritage is about 1.5 hours away from my New York location.) Friday morning: Received a phone call from Heritage Parts that part was in. Expected that call Thursday, but still fine. Everything's hunky dory. Brother-in-law leaves work to pick up part before picking up kid. Part was not there!!! I call Heritage. Parts guys says, "The part was referred." Huh? What does that mean? It was "referred" to a different warehouse. It's not at Heritage. No explanation of why, no explanation of how come I got the call that it was in. Just a bizarre stonewalling. I hang up in frustration. End up putting the oldest kid in the front seat (legally) for the weekend trip. Heritage never contacts me again. I call today and they agree to send the (paid for) part over to NY on the next part delivery run. I guess it may arrive at my local shop tomorrow. Totally disappointing experience... and it was all about the crummy communication... not the fact that parts sometimes get backordered. If they'd been straight with me or actually showed the slightest bit of caring for my situation, I'd be writing a very different review. The last thing I'd do is spend 10's of thousands with them on a new car. More
