My purchase timeline was about six weeks, from the time I first looked at a Tacoma and when I finally purchased it. Steve spent a lot of time with me in July explaining the options and costs, but as the end first looked at a Tacoma and when I finally purchased it. Steve spent a lot of time with me in July explaining the options and costs, but as the end of the month came there was no pressure to make a decision and close the deal. He was very patient and graciously accepted my timeline. He contacted me only at times we had agreed upon. I really dislike aggressive sales people, so Steve could not have been a better fit for me. We finally closed the deal in mid-August. The Tacoma was the only Toyota I was interested in, and Steve knew the model very well. No question elicited a "I'll have to get back to you" response. I also looked at a Nissan Frontier, which had much better incentives, but in the end I felt a loyalty to Steve and the time he had patiently invested. You buy cars from people, not companies, and in this case the personality was a significant factor. There was quite a contrast between Steve and the sales person at the Nissan dealership. After Steve and I finished the price negotiation, I was introduced to Jeff, who is another gem. Jeff explained the financing options, the extended warranties, and other options in detail. I bought them all because of my needs. Again, no pressure, just choices backed up with facts and explanations. I cannot suggest a single thing that either of these guys could have done differently. When I return to buy another vehicle I will be asking for them. I now look forward to being equally impressed with the service department. More
