After researching several cars online we decided on a 2010 Outback as our first choice. Upon expressing interest in this vehicle, Harvey was quick to get in touch with us (without being pushy). We were 2010 Outback as our first choice. Upon expressing interest in this vehicle, Harvey was quick to get in touch with us (without being pushy). We were able to set up a date/time to come in. Harvey came in much earlier than his originally scheduled time to accommodate us. Overall the sale went smooth as first time buyers we don't have much to compare it to. We were satisfied with the internet price so didn't bother to talk them down at all and were fine with what was given for our significantly old trade in. We were thrilled to leave in a new vehicle. Our experience with Harvey was very pleasant, we found the car online after not being able to find the same car in New England. Harvey met us at the airport and took us to the dealership where we viewed the car online after not being able to find the same car in New England. Harvey met us at the airport and took us to the dealership where we viewed the car and the paperwork was completed. We had done extensive looking and test driving in Vermont and knew what we wanted, would have preferred to buy local, but did not want to wait the extra 1-2 months to get the car we wanted. Our biggest frustration came in the finance process with Karen, we came with a check in hand for the car and were unaware of the maintenance service packages and really felt pressured to buy the service package; we were told it had to be done at the time of the initial sale. We did, but only after we were assured we could get out of the agreement within 60 days if we found it was not as beneficial as we were told. Since coming home and researching we have found postings that say it is good for people leasing, but of course that is not what we did. We had not compared any of those costs so were unprepared for that option. We now have more research to do, which makes what was a simple process complicated and dragged out. We realize that not being from the area put extra pressure on us to make an immediate decision. We feel all of the options that would be presented by the finance office that would potentially increase the purchase price should have been provided to us before we made the decision to buy the car, or at least a description of the purchase process provided beforehand. This is my second Subaru Outback that I have purchased from Harvey Pollack at MileOne Heritage Subaru. I have always been treated with respect and my needs have always been put first. I purchased a new 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI in dark gray metallic from Heritage Subaru. My dealings were primarily with the Subaru internet sales manager, Harvey Pollack. He was polite and accommodatin gray metallic from Heritage Subaru. My dealings were primarily with the Subaru internet sales manager, Harvey Pollack. He was polite and accommodating. At no point did he try to "sell" me a car. In fact he was remarkably quiet, and gave me plenty of time to think things through. The manager I spoke to on the final day was not quite as civil. He started off with a tough demeanor, refusing to budge on price, but that was expected. He softened up once I agreed to the sale. They stayed late on a Saturday to finalize paperwork, clean, and fuel the car. I drove off at 7pm, a satisfied customer, a full hour after they were scheduled to close. I am delighted with the car. The sales experience, while not enjoyable (when are you ever happy to hand over so much money) was certainly pleasant. I would definitely do business with them again and would gladly recommend friends and family to purchase a new Subaru or VW from the folks at Heritage. More

I shopped for price, so the price was what I was expecting for the car I purchased. Mr. Pollack drove an Outback to Kings Dominion to trade for my Forester, and I appreciate that extra effort. How expecting for the car I purchased. Mr. Pollack drove an Outback to Kings Dominion to trade for my Forester, and I appreciate that extra effort. However, Mr. Pollack indicated to me that he expected that I would receive about $1,000 for my trade-in. This is a price that he was quoted. I told him everything that was wrong with the car and there should not have been any surprises. It has 220,000 miles. I let him know about a missing light fixture, a broken door latch, and the need for a serpentine belt. The Blue Book value is between $1,000 and $2,000 and the value of my car should have been in that range. I drove an hour to get to the dealership and completed some papers regarding the new purchase. However, after completing most of the paperwork on the new purchase, Mr. Pollack came back to me with an offer of only $500 for the trade-in. This was not "about" $1,000; it was only half of that and a lot less than it was worth. At that point in the process, however, I was not able to fully express my disappointment and my feeling that there was some dishonesty involved. While I could have just walked out, I wanted to just get the thing over with and I did not have a firm trade-in deal elsewhere. I should add that the trade-in offer may have been out of Mr. Pollack's control and he may have been misled, as well. Still, it left a bad taste in my mouth. More
