Used Consumer Reports Buying Service for buying a 2011 Subaru Outback. Received bids from 3 different Subaru dealers in the area. However, Greg from Heritage Subaru was the person who responded first electronically and was the only one who actually followed up with a telephone call. Neither of his contacts were "pushy," but it did indicate to me that he had a serious interest in trying to work with me. We set up an appointment and I appreciated his non-pushy manner in person. He was thorough in his presentation of the features of the Outback during the test drive and since Heritage didn't have an Outback with the options I wanted in stock, he placed a factory order for me. The final price they offered was actually less than the Consumer Reports price. Three weeks later, the Outback was delivered and ready for me. Greg even went one step further by picking me up and giving me a lift to Heritage (in lieu of my taking a cab since I wasn't going to do a trade-in). After the sale, I also appreciated the fact that Gregg followed up with me to ensure that the Bluetooth connection was working properly as well as the connection for the satellite radio (they were). I also want to express my satisfaction with the "non-pushy" manner and professionalism of Karen in Heritage's finance department. With both Greg and Karen, I felt I was treated with courtesy, respect, and with a professional manner. My experiences with them were totally without the kind of pressure and discomfort that is often associated with a car buying experience. They were a pleasure to do business with. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Heritage for purchasing a Subaru. More

The sales staff was very pleasant allowing us to take multiple test drives and take multiple look at the Outback. The purchasing experience was pleasant and I did notice a complete lack of pressure which is something I didn't expect from a car dealership. The sales staff were helpful at every step of the purchasing process and even introduced new viewpoints of vehicle selection, as in matter of fact, thanks to recommendations, we bought a car we are extremely happy with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new car, extremely friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. More

He did not have what I wanted in stock so he called around and found the car I wanted in VA. and had it brought to his dealership. No other dealer I visited offered this option. At the other dealers I was limited to what they had in stock. Heritage Owings Mills Subaru also had the best price of any listed on line and I was satisfied with the final price and the value given for my trade in. More
