I am a first time subaru care owner. I have stayed with the previous car manufactor for over 20 years & found I do not like their new styling. A friend has a subaru & like it alot. I had searched all Subaru Dealerships in the greater Baltimore Area for a new 2012 Legacy. I live in Bel Air, MD and there is a Subaru Dealership in Bel Air, MD but I decided to buy from Heritage Subaru Baltimore Area for a new 2012 Legacy. I live in Bel Air, MD and there is a Subaru Dealership in Bel Air, MD but I decided to buy from Heritage Subaru in Owing Mills, MD 40 miles away. The main reason I bought from Heritage is because they had exactly what I wanted in terms of the car I wanted. Second they provide a price over the Internet that Bel Air Subaru couldn't (or wouldn't) match in person over 2 visits. Our salesperson, Harvey, was great and made our purchase an enjoyable experience. Harvey did not have the "you vs. dealership" mentality as many dealerships have. Heritage worked with me on every step of the way; cost, options, finance, and trade in. I am glad I went to Heritage Subaru to buy my new Legacy. I will be recommending Heritage Subaru to everyone I know. More

When I first got to the dealership, no one greeted me. I had to approach someone at their desk, and then after that was herded around to find someone to help me with a car purchase. After the test drive and talking about price, we negotiated a deal. When I got the car it looked as if the people at the shop had backed it into something, and then scratched the front bumper when they were trying to repair the window before I'd pick up the car. I probably should have said something but I was too fed up with the whole car-buying experience. After going through all the paperwork, I was finally able to drive it back on the 1/4 tank of gas they left in the car. Unfortunately I had to make the 2 hour drive two more times for even more paper work. After all this I thought things were done, unfortunately for some reason the title and registration hasn't made it through and it's been several weeks. I guess I got what I paid for -- I paid a low price for a car and got low quality as well. More
I have to say that from the moment that I got in contact with the sales man, he has been more than helpful with the sale as well as any questions that I had. The car was ready for pickup like he promised and clean as a whistle with all the options it said it would have from the factory. As for price, it was my main reason for buying from this dealership. The local dealer where I live pretty much told me to buzz off when I asked about the price. The guys at Heritage Imports made a fantastic deal which was too good to pass up. They were close by too (2 hours drive) which saved me a couple thousand dollars. I would highly highly recommend anyone to buy from these guys. They might be rushed, but do not worry, they will give you all the time you need. This dealer was Maryland's volume sales leader and I have to say that it's impressive. My salesman was Bob Fisher but I had interactions with the financing guy as well as the Subaru and VW sales managers and I believe the general manager. All very friendly people and great to deal with. More
We have purchased 2 Subarus in 2011 and 2 other Subarus previously and also 2 Volkswagens. Many other vehicles have been purchase at other Heritage outlets over the years. Our experience at Heritage has always been positive and satisfying. We were treated as if we were the only customers in the showroom. Jay and Doc repeatedly asked us if we had any concerns about the vehicles we were purchasing. Heritage made us feel comfortable and not pressured during our buying experience. They were knowledgeable about all their vehicles and wanted us to be satisfied until the end. Buying a vehicle can be stressful, especially in this day and age where sales people try to pressure you into a sale. This was never the case at Heritage Imports. Once you gain trust in the people you are working with, there is no reason to go anyplace else. More

I hate buying a new car. John and Harvey made the experiance better then most. I am an analytical, I never decide on the purchase the same day. We had a wonderful time at this dealership. We had planned to visit many dealerships over the weekend to find the best car for us, but we ended up finding what we wanted at stop number one!
