So far, I have only made one visit to this service department. And it was exceptional. They actually took my car in after another dealership messed it up and got her running normally again. They have qualified employees at every position and their high levels of work were an immense relief after dealing with the other incompetent dealership. Confirmed Hyundai Santa fe owner i need of new car. I had done some significant research prior to going to the dealer to test drive a Volkswagen CC. Although this dealer was a good 30-40 minute drive from my house, I had no problem making the extra drive for stellar customer service. Sure enough, Heritage of Owings Mills did not disappoint. Since they didn't have the specific model I was looking for, Melissa volunteered to drive to Toms River New Jersey to pick up the car. Bad weather was suppose to roll in the next day which would have altered the delivery of the vehicle, hence the reason Melissa wanted to get the vehicle that night. Well, what was suppose to be a 2 hour drive took Melissa over 4 hours one way. She didn't get back to the dealer until well after midnight and was there the next morning to give me the keys. This is totally unheard of at any other dealership. In fact, I can almost guarantee that any other dealer would simply delay delivery for a couple days due to the weather. I am extremely impressed with the service received at Heritage Volkswagen and wish other dealers exemplified the service!! More
I have been with Heritage for a long time and it's because I love Rick in Service. I always feel he's being honest and makes me feel my best interest is at heart! I had car problems and Rick said maybe "it was time." My car was 9 yrs old and Rick took care of me and my yellow VW Bug. I was on the lot looking very early in the morning and a nice young lady named Melissa came up introduced herself. I told her I wanted just to walk around and look then I would come find her. She was there and waiting. I loved her. She explained everything which included the car, its features and the process we would be following if I bought. She also called the next day to see if everything was OK. She also knew a great deal about cars. I love the dealership and that is because what I know and like about is the people that work there. I will always look for Rick when I go into service and I will refer Melissa to my friends and I hope she's still there when I buy again. These folks are your best asset!! Good job Heritage!! More
I purchased a car in 2011 from this dealer, a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. The car was advertised as Excelent Condition, it only had 60,000 miles on it. I was able to have them include the 60,000 major service when I bought the car so that along with the overall apearance and their description of all the checks and conditioning made me feel confident that I was purchasing a Car that would serve me well for some time. After my first 3 months the CV boots started to leak, I was stable for a few months and then I start having problems with stalling and random noises that cant be reproduced. After my first year with about 12,000 miles my water pump started leeking and they found some other things that were not covered under their waranty. My random noise stopped after the water pump was replaced along with pipes and hoses that were just fine a few months before and when the 60,000 mile service was perfomed. Buyer beware, if you fall in love with a car at this dealership take it somewhere else for a full inspection before you buy. The Elite Pluss warranty should be renamed to the Nickel and Dime waranty as when you but it you hear one thing and when you use it you hear another. There are plenty of places that sell used cars and who seem more intrested in relitivly trouble free ownership for their used car customers. More
I have purchased two Subarus from this dealership, and had an excellent experience both times. It is well managed, Doc was terrific to work with in sales, and Harry has been wonderful to work with in the had an excellent experience both times. I came to Heritage to look at the Forester. Unfortunately, it did not fit my needs. My Salesman, Bob Fisher listened as I explained what I was looking for in a car. Bob let me drive the Outback and see for myself that this was the vehicle I was looking for. Knowing that he had put me in the right vehicle, he patiently answered all my questions. What I learned from Bob about Subaru, and what I'm learning first hand, is what an exceptional vehicle it is. The icing on the cake is that they gave me a fair price-at the get go...no haggling, just a fair price. I would recommend Heritage Subaru and Bob Fisher to anyone looking for a good dealership with an exceptional salesman. P.S. The car salesman was very unknowledgeable with the vehicles. I pretty much showed myself around the lot. I left within 15 minutes of being there ! With my mindset of driving home in a new Subaru that night , I went to "Russell Subaru" where I found the perfect car(not to mention, GREAT pricing) The staff WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! Very Very friendly staff and Very knowledgeable, They made me their #1 priority. More

First off, my email correspondence with Bob Fisher was so cordial that I rented a car and drove all the way to Owings Mill for test drives. When I arrived, repeat customers of his had dropped by and were considering purchasing another vehicle through him -- which is a testimonial right there. Bob was patient as I drove three very different cars, and he was very relaxed yet attentive throughout the whole process. As I had done my research and test-driven cars before that, I debated purchasing that day, but Bob himself advised that I go home and sleep on the matter. I appreciated that, while he respected my ability to make a good decision, he could sense my hesitancy. When I decided to make the purchase, Bob himself drove down to DC to pick me up and drove me to the dealership. That car ride to Owings Mill proved enormously enjoyable and I felt great knowing that my purchase was supporting a quality individual. Bob took a great deal of time before I left the dealership to review various features of the vehicle -- even walking me through the set up for the hands free cell phone connection and its associated functions. A few days later, he contacted me to see if he could provide assistance to any issues or questions I may have. I have been happy with my vehicle purchase, and I enjoyed working with Mr. Fisher. I would *highly* recommend Bob Fisher to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle. As to service, I have only been up once for the 90 day check-in but I was really pleased with my interaction with the service managers during the check-in. Importantly, I talked to the service managers before I bought the car and before I considered any maintenance packages and I appreciated the full answers I received to my questions. One gentleman actually worked up for me all the anticipated costs of the recommended maintenance schedule so I could decide whether I thought a maintenance package was worth the investment. While the distance can be a bit inconvenient, I feel the drive is well worth the treatment I receive and the attention my car receives. I much prefer Heritage to any of the DC area Subaru dealerships I visited. More
