I came to Heritage to look at the Forester. Unfortunately, it did not fit my needs. My Salesman, Bob Fisher listened as I explained what I was looking for in a car. Bob let me drive the Outback and see for myself that this was the vehicle I was looking for. Knowing that he had put me in the right vehicle, he patiently answered all my questions. What I learned from Bob about Subaru, and what I'm learning first hand, is what an exceptional vehicle it is. The icing on the cake is that they gave me a fair price-at the get go...no haggling, just a fair price. I would recommend Heritage Subaru and Bob Fisher to anyone looking for a good dealership with an exceptional salesman. P.S. He had been recommended to us by our son-in-law who purchased his car from Bob at Heritage. Sincerely, Michael Giuffre More
Heritage Subaru Owings Mills~ I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, From the time I walked in I felt uncomfortable and like I was an inconvenience to them. Very unfriendly staff. The car salesman dealership to anyone, From the time I walked in I felt uncomfortable and like I was an inconvenience to them. Very unfriendly staff. The car salesman was very unknowledgeable with the vehicles. I pretty much showed myself around the lot. I left within 15 minutes of being there ! With my mindset of driving home in a new Subaru that night , I went to "Russell Subaru" where I found the perfect car(not to mention, GREAT pricing) The staff WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! Very Very friendly staff and Very knowledgeable, They made me their #1 priority. More
I shopped pretty comprehensively around the DC metro region and found Heritage Subaru/VW to outpace the other dealerships by far in terms of inviting environment, knowledgeable staff, low pressure, and region and found Heritage Subaru/VW to outpace the other dealerships by far in terms of inviting environment, knowledgeable staff, low pressure, and attitude towards customers. First off, my email correspondence with Bob Fisher was so cordial that I rented a car and drove all the way to Owings Mill for test drives. When I arrived, repeat customers of his had dropped by and were considering purchasing another vehicle through him -- which is a testimonial right there. Bob was patient as I drove three very different cars, and he was very relaxed yet attentive throughout the whole process. As I had done my research and test-driven cars before that, I debated purchasing that day, but Bob himself advised that I go home and sleep on the matter. I appreciated that, while he respected my ability to make a good decision, he could sense my hesitancy. When I decided to make the purchase, Bob himself drove down to DC to pick me up and drove me to the dealership. That car ride to Owings Mill proved enormously enjoyable and I felt great knowing that my purchase was supporting a quality individual. Bob took a great deal of time before I left the dealership to review various features of the vehicle -- even walking me through the set up for the hands free cell phone connection and its associated functions. A few days later, he contacted me to see if he could provide assistance to any issues or questions I may have. I have been happy with my vehicle purchase, and I enjoyed working with Mr. Fisher. I would *highly* recommend Bob Fisher to anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle. As to service, I have only been up once for the 90 day check-in but I was really pleased with my interaction with the service managers during the check-in. Importantly, I talked to the service managers before I bought the car and before I considered any maintenance packages and I appreciated the full answers I received to my questions. One gentleman actually worked up for me all the anticipated costs of the recommended maintenance schedule so I could decide whether I thought a maintenance package was worth the investment. While the distance can be a bit inconvenient, I feel the drive is well worth the treatment I receive and the attention my car receives. I much prefer Heritage to any of the DC area Subaru dealerships I visited. More
I had a terrific experience at Heritage Subaru. Besides the car being super, the service I received from Bob Fisher was excellent. He was personable and helpful and answered all my questions. We had a great experience purchasing a Subaru Forester from Bob Fisher. Bob (and all the employees) were so friendly and helpful. Bob has kept in contact with us since the purchase (a year ago) to make from Bob Fisher. Bob (and all the employees) were so friendly and helpful. When I'm ready for a new car, Heritage Subaru will be my first (and probably only) destination! More
I bought my first Subaru from Heritage and Robert was my salesperson. I have owned the car for a year, during the year I have received several emails from Robert asking how things were and if I needed any salesperson. I have owned the car for a year, during the year I have received several emails from Robert asking how things were and if I needed any assistance. I even got an anniversary 'card' from Robert. He just cares about his clients, he seems interested in keeping in contact even though we have bought a Subaru, who knows maybe I'll get my wife one. But I recommend Robert to my friends when we talk cars and Subaru. Of course Robert is the first person that you meet in the Heritage 'experience' you meet the service and parts people as you need them. Service has been good (only oil changes so far) and parts...well I did get some goodies for the Subaru. So sales to service to parts all have been good to excellent experiences. More
Yes, I worked with Bob Fisher and had a really good experience in purchasing from him. He didn’t give me any run around and I came back a few times to think things through. He never applied any pressur experience in purchasing from him. He didn’t give me any run around and I came back a few times to think things through. He never applied any pressure tactics, and that was very nice. He seemed very honest about a few things regarding their buy process, any other cost associated with the purchase, etc. I had done my research and got a deal that I felt was honest. In the end at closing of the sale I did have a major issue with a finance manager there - he was supposedly “new” and, I actually asked the guy in small talk and he said he just started so he was really new. He tried to charge me 200$ add on for security etching on the windows, which actually were not on the vehicle. At that moment I was sure, the car was brought in from another dealer. At the signing, I complained but it was basically done deal by then, in hindsight you don’t have to accept anything you don’t ask for, but he new I was vulnerable and just wanted to get out of there, this guy had claimed it was on the vehicle already and had to pay. So I was exhausted by then I just dealt with it. But it was going to ruin the experience there at that moment, for just $200 bucks. I then walked out to the car and Bob was out there and I saw them putting the etching on. I told Bob what just happened, I didn’t want it on and guy basically just had lied to me. Guess the finance guy needed to meet a quota on add-ons! BUT here the story turns, Bob honestly looked shocked when I told him the story. He said he help out and that wasn’t right, nor is that how they do business there. The next morning he called said he talked to his boss and got me a full refund on that and again apologized. He said since this "finance" guy is no longer with them. So I think that showed his character - he really did take care of me and my family and knew we were looking to build long term relationships. Your name is of the most value in the end, especially in sales and he knew that... Even with that little mishap I would still go back. Great cars too! More
I was at several dealerships, several Subaru, also Nissan and Lexus. This dealership, and Bob Fisher in particular, were outstanding. Bob was very friendly. We never felt pressured and it never felt like a "sales" pitch. Bob was very easy to relate to. He talked to us on a personal level that was honest. I have been researching a new vehicle for the last year on Consumer Reports, Car and Driver, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, American Express Auto Purchasing Program, etc., comparing driving perfor on Consumer Reports, Car and Driver, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, American Express Auto Purchasing Program, etc., comparing driving performance, safety features, reliability, relatively low cost maintenance between a Subaru (Forester and Outback) and Volkswagen (Passat Sedan and Jetta Sportswagen). I either visited dealerships in MD or researched them online. Based on Consumer Reports, IIHS and friends and families that purchased Subaru, we decided to invest in a new Outback. We visited Subaru Heritage given its competitive pricing and professional customer response to our online requests. After receiving a competitive quote and referencing it to the pricing reports provided by our credit card company (what consumers on average paid for a new Subaru Outback based on the specific model that we wanted), we decided that Heritage Subaru’s quote was reasonable and competitive. We spent 4-5 hours with Norm Penn who provided a no hassle superior customer service that involved among others test driving the vehicle in Owings Mills including extreme driving in a parking lot to demonstrate the Outback’s Vehicle Dynamic Control and Traction Control System in wet conditions (rain on the day of purchase) and used the paddle shifts in the automatic transmission model along certain stretches of the drive. This demonstrated his knowledge of the vehicle and reassured us that buying a vehicle from Heritage would be the right decision. We also shared stories about our family backgrounds that complemented the buying experience. At the end of the day before we drove off with our new Subaru Outback, I went for a handshake but Norm insisted on a hug and he also shared a hug with my wife. Good man to work with and will likely be back to purchase a second vehicle to replace our 10-year-old Volvo when it breaks down. More
