One of my best experiences I walked into Heritage Mazda on a Friday, only to inquire about a used Honda Pilot I had seen on their site. I had few intentions to buy used, and NO intentions to buy new. Dustin Goodman greeted us and explained that the Pilot had been sold, but could help us on our search for the perfect vehicle. I had been looking for a bigger vehicle since I was pregnant with my daughter (over a year) because I had been driving a two door car. He went over some of their used inventory and then I asked him if he could give me a striaght forward quote for a brand new 2015 Mazda 6; taxes tags and everything included. Within minutes he was back at the desk showing me a quote, with payments shown for each amount put down. When I told him I didn't think buying new was the best decision for me and that I wanted to just look at a used model, he put in for the used Mazda to be transferred from another dealership. We had an appointment for Monday. He was not pushy and very helpful. I had also walked in 30 minutes before closing, but he still spent the time giving us information until 30 minutes after closing, knowing that we were not buying anything. After thinking it over, the next day I walked in and decided I wanted to buy a new car. He quickly got everything ready, transferred the exact car, color, trim etc from a VA dealership. I bought a BRAND NEW 2015 Mazda 6 the Monday that I was SUPPOSED to just look at something used on their lot (out of curiosity). I can honestly say, had it not been for the way this dealer helped me just a few days prior, I would not have even considered buying a car, new or used, period! Everyone I encountered in the dealership had a great sense of humor, they were all very accomodating and were very knowledgable of their product. He even spent the time to call my insurance company and set my phone up. I couldn't of had a better experience. I am pleased with the price of the vehicle (after rebates and trade) and love the car so far. Thank you! More
First time buyer, some petty issues but the car is A+ I went in with information on a new Mazda 6 that I knew was in their inventory, but the prices on the website only pertain to those "who already own m I went in with information on a new Mazda 6 that I knew was in their inventory, but the prices on the website only pertain to those "who already own mazdas or are active duty military" (?) - pretty misleading. Closing took 3 hours - they didn't seem interested in negotiating, I got the car for whatever they were offering which was $3,000 more than what I was expecting. On pick up day, they were 7 hours late delivering the car with no explanation provided. But I just got a new Mazda, so it's really hard to complain about that. Needless to say, there was no hassle at all and a super low pressure sale- they made me feel like I was just "at the store buying something" and remembered my name when I came back in. Plus, when the car finally arrived they sat in it with me to answer all of my questions and did not rush. This car is awesome! More
Great first car buying experience! I had a wonderful experience at the Bel Air Heritage mazda! I found myself unexpectedly in the market for a new or CPO car, and came in to Heritage Bel Air with a lot of questions. I first met with Dustin Goodman, who was very friendly and helpful in showing me their new/used selection. He took the time to explain the different options that were available to me and followed up with me for the next week - and helped with another test drive at a later date. I returned with my mother and met with Ken Arment. Ken was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable in their many options, and made me feel very comfortable during my test drive of a new Mazda 3. When I was on the fence for options/styles, he took the time to follow up with us with various buying options, including an out-of-state car that fit the bill for all of my "wants". Ken was very patient with my lengthy decision making, and was able to bring the car to the Bel Air Heritage location. The buying process went very smoothly, and I never felt any pressure from either salesman that I worked with. I felt very at ease with all of the friendly staff that I met with over the course of my 4 visits! I will definitely recommend this dealership to anyone searching for a new or used car. Thank you for the great experience and helping me find my awesome Mazda 3!!! More
Truly excellent experience on 2010 Mazda 3 purchase I was in the market for a used Mazda 3 Hatchback w/ manual transmission, and the available stock in the Washington DC area was pretty limited. These I was in the market for a used Mazda 3 Hatchback w/ manual transmission, and the available stock in the Washington DC area was pretty limited. These guys had a nice 2010 model that met my needs very well, and when I stopped by to take a look, they were absolutely professional in letting me climb over and under the car, as well as torture it on some twisty roads around the dealership. I walked away and thought about it, and after shopping further, came back and gave them a offer they accepted. The promised to fix two items to close the deal, and we completed the purchase deal in slightly over three hours - my fastest car purchase experience from a dealer in 20 years! I brought the car back two weeks later and they fixed the two items they owed immediately and I was on my way again. I can't say enough good things about these guys, this was absolutely the best car purchase experience I have ever had, and their professionalism and dedication to help me get what I wanted was outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good used car. More

Honestly, up until two weeks ago I despised Mazda all-together. My wife had a mazda 3 and I was too tall for it (I'm 6'3). I had a BMW that I recently traded for something more economical with my new all-together. My wife had a mazda 3 and I was too tall for it (I'm 6'3). I had a BMW that I recently traded for something more economical with my new 82 mile, one-way commute to work. With the snow pouring down on us, and my wife being from Bel Air (and a huge Mazda fan), we went to Heritage Mazda. She knew what she wanted but she insisted I test drove the CX-5 she had picked out in the hopes I wouldn't hate it. She was right. I could comfortably fit in the front and the back, the layout had changed, the controls made sense and they had great reliability ratings. While she was there I couldnt get over how nice the Mazda 6 looked but most importantly I couldnt get over the fact that they offered the Mazda 6 in a manual. It was good to see a car manufacturer realize that not everyone only wants a manual in the baseline model for price. Some of us enjoy driving a manual. My wife made the purchase and we drove home with a CX-5 two weeks ago. Yesterday, after some thinking, I decided to go back and check out the Mazda 6 touring in manual they had at the dealership. It was the right color, right trim level and the right price. I'm normally a difficult person to sell a car to... To the point that about 75% of my car purchases have been private party purchases or used car so I dont have to deal with a dealership much. I've had way too many bad experiences that usually start with the finance manager. I generally can see through most "smoke and mirror" or high pressure tactics. They boil my blood. At other dealerships I have been told that a calculator is wrong or "broken", that I couldnt drive away with a car for 3 weeks if I didnt finance through a certain company, or that an extra $50 a month in my payment was "peanuts" and I was a fool for worrying about it. Not here. I had been in contact with John Holliday during my wife's purchase and after. When I came in to make the purchase he handed me over to the salesman Dave who was probably the most relaxed person I have dealt with. There was ZERO pressure. He asked me what I wanted to know, I asked specific pointed questions about the vehicle and what was included and he only gave me what I wanted to know specifically without spin, twist, or unnecessary information. I asked what colors they had available, he responded with "We have Silver and Reflex Blue here, and we can easily get Red today as well". No question dodging either. He warmed up the car, did some paperwork and we went on a test drive. He gave me the pro's and cons of the model I wanted vs other models he had when I asked. After we get back, we agreed to the numbers (price), and it was within my range of where I wanted to be and the paperwork began. I'm always apprehensive about the finance office and would actually pay to skip it usually, but this was smooth. My rate was in a range I wanted, within the length I wanted, and the payment range I estimated. When I was finished, I explained to Dale that I was in a bit of a rush at this point and I didnt need the full walk through of the car, since my wife had just bought a CX-5, so he stepped outside and had the car warm, detailed and ready. He helped me move my stuff from my old car to my new car, we shook hands and were off. The summary of it... No pressure, No BS, and straight forward pricing that I found to be the lowest Mazda pricing around. I had the feeling that at any point I could have said "alright, now let me go home and sleep on it" and there wouldnt have been too much of an issue with that. Good people and I would definitely put them on the list of place I will buy from again. Right now they're the only place on that list, FYI More
Do not believe any advertised prices on the internet. I saw many advertisements for 2014 Mazda 3 Hatchbacks on cars.com. I immediately called to see if they have them available to look at it tomorrow. He w saw many advertisements for 2014 Mazda 3 Hatchbacks on cars.com. I immediately called to see if they have them available to look at it tomorrow. He wasn't sure about any price on the phone. After couple minutes I receive an email saying car is around $3000 more than the advertised price. This is an utter Bait-&-Switch. 'Not all customers qualify for all rebates and incentive'. Just shop somewhere else. More
