When trying to purchase a used vehicle here, I requested a standard independent Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI). The salesperson flatly denied my request to have an independent mechanic put the car on a lift—which is standard procedure for any proper inspection. When I pointed out that the Maryland Attorney General explicitly recommends an independent inspection for used cars, the salesperson text-messaged me a false claim, stating that the AG guidance "only applies to private party sales." This is entirely untrue. Both the Maryland AG and federal law (via the FTC Buyers Guide mandatory dealer sticker) explicitly recommend consumers to have dealership vehicles inspected by an independent mechanic. I disagree wholeheartedly with their policy of not allowing standard pre-purchase inspections using a lift. I don't feel a on-the-ground inspection is adequate. I'll be buying my next car somewhere else. More

And are honest if they can’t make it work. If they don’t have the car you want on their lot or at another Heritage, they go outside to find the perfect car for you. Which is exactly what they did for us this time. Our Salesman Paul was extremely kind and patient. He went over every inch of the car and technology with me and invited me back if I have questions. Then called the next to thank us and ask if we had any questions. The Financial person was excellent. My only thing I wish is that we didn’t have to wait so long to get that final piece taken care of. In the end I highly recommend Heritage Mazda if Belair. More
