We have purchased cars from Herb Gordon Nissan in the past and have always been very satisfied with the purchasing experience. The showroom is clean and organized and the staff is friendly and professio past and have always been very satisfied with the purchasing experience. I have never felt pressured to buy a vehicle and was able to go home and think things over without getting a ton of calls. We have used the service department for our Quest Van and our 96 Maxima (which is still on the road) and we have always felt we got good advice and a fair price on repairs. More
I bought a used Honda Odyssey from this dealer and was pretty much happy about the sale and the price. But after I drove the van home and had to get to my Honda service shop, they mentioned the power ste pretty much happy about the sale and the price. But after I drove the van home and had to get to my Honda service shop, they mentioned the power steering flush, brake flush needs to be done as they are downright dirty and may be the previous owner never really did these. I was surprised that the Herb Gordon Nissan did not find this as part of the inspection. When I talked to Joe again about this - they kind of stood behind the argument that "well, old cars are meant to have issues...". I never really got an answer as to why this was not captured in their inspection before selling the van. And obviously they were not willing to set things right. More
I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. My experience has been nothing but awful. The special finance person, Mary, is probably one of the most rude people I have every dealt with. I was never told that it was a requirement. I feel like I was treated poorly an unfairly because I didn't have pristine credit. More

I started buying Nissan vehicles in 1982 and that's the only vehicle brand I've driven since. I've dealt with many people over the years at Herb Gordon, many who are not there anymore and have received not only vehicle brand I've driven since. I've dealt with many people over the years at Herb Gordon, many who are not there anymore and have received nothing other then great service in all capacities. The sales department as well as the service department are great and the Herb Gordon staff knows the proper way to treat their customers. Kevin Yi, the new car general manager is great and very knowledgable. In the service department, George Margelos who I've been dealing with for a long time is extremely knowledgable and a real people person. On the mechanic side both Ray and Barry are 2 of the fine top notch mechanics I've ever dealt with. They do their work with expertise and when you get the car back it's fixed correctly, they interact with the customer personally and the vehicle is always returned neat and clean. I just dealt with Paul Schiavone today in the service department and he's another example of the Herb Gordon team that goes out of their way to give excellent customer service. More
Our salesman was OK, nothing special. But HGN gets our 5 stars because once we started dealing with Pre Owned Sales Mgr Ramesh Deonarian, our experience went from "ehhh" to "wow." The car we'd come to see d stars because once we started dealing with Pre Owned Sales Mgr Ramesh Deonarian, our experience went from "ehhh" to "wow." The car we'd come to see didn't grab us. But since Ramesh buys vehicles for HGN at auction, he had just received two other '09 Muranos that weren't yet on the website. One, a platinum graphite gray SL 4WD really caught our eye. We olged it inside and out, but in the light of day, missed something - modest hail damage to the hood. Ramesh said to us "this vehicle is outstanding, but I need to take care of the hood before it goes home with someone. I need to be happy with it before I expect you to be happy with it." Great approach; the car had to please HIM as much as it had to please us. Long story short, we bought it and took it home, knowing it had a two-days-later appt. with "his guy" to make the hood perfect. Want more great service testimony? How about the dealer General Sales Manager Larry Signora (who we were introduced to, and who lives in our Mntg Cty suburban town) offering to drop off a loaner car and pick up our Murano for its appt.? Wow, and this after we'd already said yes to the purchase. All goes well; I get a call from Ramesh mid/late afternoon that his dent guy did "excellent work," but there was this one dent a little too large/needed to see body shop/get fixed/and then have the whole hood repainted. Again, we were impressed with "if it wasn't good enough for Ramesh, it wasn't gonna be good enough for the customer." Yes, it took two extra days, but I had the loaner. Got a call as promised, picked it up, it even had gas in it! Our HGN buying experience was way above the norm for a car dealership, they'll be seeing me again for future vehicle needs. More

We had been in contact with our salesman, Jim Porter, for at least two years while I was making up my mind to say goodbye to the Maxima. Jim was exceedingly patient and when I finally decided, he had just what I was looking for--a gorgeous taupe-colored Altima. I have to say my sales experience could not have been easier--Jim was great to work with--very professional, informative and helpful. I ended up making the deal on my own. had done my homework and think I got a good price. I really love the car and am happy we made the decision to go with a Nissan again. On another note, we returned to the dealership today to take care of a minor windshield wiper problem. After a brief wait, we were on our way with new wiper blades and problem solved. I must also recommend George in the service department--he was very friendly, courteous and helpful. While there, Jim took time to explain some additional features of the car that I was unsure of.
