As a woman we know how people get over on us when it comes to fixing our cars, but Jose Cruz took his time to explain everything. He explained the parts I needed, why I needed them along with what that part does and why it is important to get it fixed. He made me feel good and smart and for the fist time understood my car better. I would recommend Herb Gordon Nissan to anyone, but if you go there you must ask for Jose Cruz he is awesome. I have had a great experience with my first time buying from a dealer. Herb Gordon has some great employees. Kathy DeMers was kind, friendly, and very professional. This review is strictly based on me getting my 1999 Nissan Maxima serviced at Herb Gordon Nissan. Never again will I take my car there to be serviced. The prices are marked up 150%. I took my car to the Dealer because it wouldn't start, they had to tow my car to the dealership and reprogram my key and replace a wire and charged me $663.00. Absolute highway robbery at it's best. These service departments at these dealerships charge astronomical prices for the most smallest of things. On top of that, they didn't even wash my car. They gave me a coupon for a free car wash. I asked for a discount from the service manager on the price and he gave me a measly 10% off which was something I could have gotten for myself with the coupon on their website. This is why most people go to outside mechanics because auto dealerships are scam artists when it comes to fixing people's cars. I know it's a business and is in business to make money but almost $700 for a new key and to re-connect a wire. No way!! That should have cost me $300-$400 max. I will not be going back to Herb Gordon now not only to get my car serviced but not to purchase anymore either. I purchased my first car from Herb Gordon Nissan but this experience has made me think twice about ever doing that again and I will be purchasing a new car very soon. If you need auto repair, find somewhere else to go. When they have most of your service in one lump sum and not broken up to say how much each procedure cost, then you know you are being robbed. There was no detailed description of much of anything on my bill, $404.97 was all lumped together except for the cost of the towing and the key. Lesson Learned. Back to the outside mechanic I go and will also be looking for another dealership to purchase my brand new Nissan Murano from because I can't deal with companies that abuse their customers. More
