The car has had one problem after another, and the dealership never has availability in a timely manner. My screen, which consists of my radio, GPS and just about every other control for the car, is out; and the earliest appointment I could get from service is 15 days out, When the vehicle had just under 7K miles, the windows would not stay up, the car kept shutting off on me, the side mirrors were constantly lit and would beep regularly. There are just too many problems to list. At that time, it was the same issue, no loaner and no immediate service appointment. I cannot wait for this lease to expire. The Compass smart car is a really dumb car. More

I was called by service 2 days before my scheduled date to be told I would have to leave my Jeep for the day and if they got a chance they would diagnose my problem. I explained that I set an appointment on their website and was told that they were book for the next two weeks. They go on to say that they're trying to get their scheduling App on there website frozen so no one could set appointments through there website. The individual who I spoke to on the phone was rude and I believe condescending. I am or was a repeat customer in buying cars and using their service department. I will now be taking my business elsewhere. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More

Not only did they charge a great deal of money for a repair but the problem never was fixed. Even after repeated attempts by the dealership and service people to solve the problem. The issue was never resolved . They had The Jeep for weeks and never could fix it. I bought my first Chrysler product when I was 22 years old . My family and I all continued to buy Jeeps and other Chrysler products through the years. I’m retired now and have been for a few years .It seems the incompetence level of workmanship is incredibly bad. I will not be buying anymore vehicles from Chrysler since I have lost all faith in them. They obviously can’t fix their own products. More

I started the car again, put it into gear, tried that and it was still on. Called the dealership because I was worried about the battery dying during the day while I am at work. They confirmed that the batter would die. And told me they could not get me until 1/14/2019, today is 12/27/2019. So as an alternative, I was told to go under the hood and disconnect the battery to reset the radio. Well, they forgot to mention a few things, like where the battery was, the tools I need to disconnect it and I need to be very strong and tall. I got a co-worker, went to our facilities department (to borrow tools) - spent a half hour under the hood in 20 degree weather. We disconnected the battery, the car was dead, no lights, no horn, could not be started - however, the radio display was still ON. Disconnected the power the fuse box, car was dead screen was still ON. Called the dealership back and they could not offer any help. I was told to drop if off as an emergency and they would try to get to it over the next 2 weeks. I would be left with no car for 2 weeks or for however long. I was told this is because they only have 3 techs working because of the holidays - so I am paying the price for them being understaffed. Meanwhile - my fabulous coworker found on the internet that this is a very common problem and all you have to do is hold the mute and power button down for 5 seconds and let go and the system resets - and that worked the screen is no off with zero help from the place I bought it and have had it serviced for the last 3 years. What an epic disappointment. More
Above and beyond! My wife and I are from out of state and were recently on vacation north of Boston when our 2016 Jeep Renegade started overheating. We called for a tow My wife and I are from out of state and were recently on vacation north of Boston when our 2016 Jeep Renegade started overheating. We called for a tow and we happened to be closest to Herb Chambers Chrysler Dodge Jeep. I was impressed that someone was on duty in the service department after 7pm when we arrived. Our Service Advisor Barbara A. Padget went above and beyond to put us at ease and immediately obtained a loaner vehicle for us to use for the balance of our stay. She then expedited the repair of our Jeep, which happened to be a bad cooling fan and module, repaired under warranty. I was impressed at how Barbara handled our whole situation and turned what could have been a bad memory into a great memory and dealership experience. She is an asset to this dealership. The gentleman on the phone said he was busy and could he contact me later, I said sure and gave him my information. Did I here back from him? Of course not. I waited 3 hours and called back to waiting on hold then the phone being answered by a man who was abrupt and very short. He told me my car couldn't come in for 20 DAYS!!! Is the dealership or the manufacturer going to be responsible for bodily harm? This to me is inexcusable, not to mention he wanted to charge for a loaner car at 40 dollars a day which I'm sure is sub par to what I drive now. All I know is that for my jeep purchase I will not be going to Herb Chambers in Danvers just based on how their service department is run. More

Poor Service I'm the owner of a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country (purchased from Herb Chambers) and a 2014 Ram 1500 (not purchased from Herb Chambers due to the inab I'm the owner of a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country (purchased from Herb Chambers) and a 2014 Ram 1500 (not purchased from Herb Chambers due to the inability to reach a common agreement) and have experienced poor, unresolved service from Herb Chambers Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM of Danver's over the years. The the issue that severed our relationship with the dealership was back in July of 2014 when I brought my Town & Country for standard service including tire balance due to a vibration issue in the right rear. I paid for the tires to be balanced yet the issue remained. After 2 additional attempts to have the issue resolved by Herb Chambers I drove down the street to Direct Tire, immediately after receiving the vehicle back from Herbs Service dept, where they removed the broken tire sensor that had been bouncing inside the right rear tire. As a result of that experience I have not returned to Herb Chambers. Please note that until this incident, Herb Chambers had done all of the service including oil changes on my vehicles (we're a 3 Ram and 4 Chrysler T&C family, so not a small business). Today, the 2014 Ram 1500 has several warranty items that need attention so I thought that I'd give Herb Chambers another try. Well, since I didn't buy the truck from them, even though I did try, they were not interested in helping with my warranty concerns (rear door window seal, rear door lock not working, tear in leather seat) and told me to go back to the dealership from which I purchased it. Honestly, as the Chrysler representation for Ram in the North Shore area you'd expect more from them. I left Herb Chambers and found another Chrysler dealerships in the area to be far more accommodating and willing to take on the warranty items. In summary, today's experience confirmed that nothings changed with respect to the poor service of Herb Chambers Danvers. More
Poor Communications Imagine you made a service appointment and later they called you to move it to a Holiday day which you kindly oblidged. On that Holiday of yours, you Imagine you made a service appointment and later they called you to move it to a Holiday day which you kindly oblidged. On that Holiday of yours, you drop off your vehicle at 7:30AM and get an estimate of 2.5 hours to complete. You leave and later call in After 1PM to get the status. They say it hasn't been worked on yet and don't think they will get to it today. You then drop by in person at 2PM to find out what's going on and NOW it's done but being washed. You are asked to wait a bit and they will get you. After 45 minutes you check what's taking so long and they say it's waiting to be washed. Next, some guy says, I didn't call you and gives off an attitude like I'm the issue. Now they fumble for my keys and send me off. They totally ruined my Holiday day off and I'm still not sure if my vehicle was ever worked on. The work was to be two safety recalls. More
Horrible Service Experience Could Have Resulted In Death!!! I went to this dealer on Sat, Oct. 10, 2015 to have routine preventive maintenance service (oil change & tire rotation) performed on my 2012 Dodge Dur I went to this dealer on Sat, Oct. 10, 2015 to have routine preventive maintenance service (oil change & tire rotation) performed on my 2012 Dodge Durango. Within a few days after the visit, I began noticing a dull, faint noise when applying my brakes at low speeds (< 20 mph). This was odd because a multipoint safety inspection was completed during my service visit and I was told that both my brakes and tires were still in good shape. A few days later, the noise had gotten worse. Sometimes I would hear the noise when applying the brakes at low speeds or sometimes when just cruising at low speeds. I called the dealer back to make another service appointment and get everything checked out again. There were no appointments available on Sat, Oct. 17 so I made the appointment for Sat, Oct. 24. On Oct. 17, I was driving with my wife and son to his soccer game in NH (1 hour away). On the way back about 30 miles from home the noise was now even audible at highway speeds and was so bad that I pulled over in the breakdown lane to see what the xxxx was going on. I noticed that 1 lug nut was protruding out about 1 inch from one of the tires. Upon further inspection, this lug nut was literally hanging on by a thread and I'm sure that if I kept driving it would have completely fallen off at some point on the highway before I got home. I grabbed the tire iron out of my trunk and tightened the lug nut. Before driving off, I checked all of the other lug nuts and found that ALL OF THE LUG NUTS ON 3 OUT OF 4 TIRES WERE VERY LOOSE. For several lug nuts, I had to turn them 3 or 4 rotations before they even began to tighten. It looked like the technician never torqued the lug nuts after rotating the tires. This extreme negligence by the service technician could have resulted in the death of someone in my family or another driver on the highway if any of the tires came off the car when driving at highway speeds. I immediately drove back to the dealer before going home and told the entire story to the Service Manager. I told him that he needs to find out which technician performed the service and take the appropriate action (re-train or terminate) so that someone else doesn't get hurt or killed in the future from this complete negligence. The Service Manager showed absolutely no emotion, apologized for the "inconvenience" (I'm using his word) and offered me 2 free service visits. I told him that I was never stepping into the dealership ever again for service or anything else. PLEASE STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!! More
