I recently purchased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland from Herb Chambers Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Danvers. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a firm handshake and a professional atti from Herb Chambers Chrysler Jeep Dodge of Danvers. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a firm handshake and a professional attitude by Vito Scavo. After asking a few questions about what I was looking for, he pulled up a Grand Cherokee with everything that I wanted. Vito pulled the car inside out of the rain so we could look at all the features. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle and readily answered all of my questions. When it came to negotiating a price, Vito and the entire staff presented me a very competitive price with no pressure to purchase the vehicle. I decided to think about it for a day and left the dealership with a very good feeling about the vehicle and the professional way Vito treated me. The next day, I called to put a deposit down on the Grand Cherokee with the full intent of purchasing the vehicle the next day (this was Vito's day off and I wanted to make the final purchase with him). To my surprise, Vito was waiting for me when I arrived to place the deposit (on his day off!!). Mark worked tirelessly to ensure that I found a vehicle that suited my needs and lifestyle. I first contacted him a couple of months ago and expressed our interest in purchasing or leasing a new vehicle. Without pressure, he contacted me periodically until we were ready to proceed. Once I'd selected a vehicle model, he explained each version's features and options. Although HD didn't have the EXACT model and color that I wanted, he worked to secure a trade with another Dodge dealership in record time. He kept me in the loop regarding the status of delivery - even calling me on his day off. After the sale, he made sure that I had all of the registration and service support that I needed. Joseph ALSO made our entire purchase experience less painful by securing a low-interest loan for us, explaining all of our extended protection options, instructing us on how to obtain reimbursement for the unused portion of the extended warranty on our Avalanche ($$$), and building confidence in our relationship with the entire Herb Chambers team. For this reason we began checking out Jeep dealerships with the intention of purchasing a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We began our in-person shopping at Herb Chambers Jeep of Danvers, Ma. I had done some price checking on-line and knew what I expected to pay. We were greeted by salesman Vito Scavo. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and we explained what we were looking for and Vito showed us the exact vehicle! We went for a test drive and I was very pleased to find that while more than willing to answer any questions we had, Vito allowed the vehicle to sell itself. Very wise move, because we headed back to the dealership to discuss price. I was again very happy to find that at Herb Chambers the price they quote is the price you can get the vehicle for. No running back to the "manager" to see if your offer works. The price I was quoted was considerably lower than I expected and that combined with the fact that it was the exact vehicle we were looking for was enough to convince us to agree to the deal. Our salesman Veto worked with us through the entire process and when we picked up the vehicle he spent time explaining every button, knob, switch and light in the Jeep. I could not have asked for a better car buying experience. Vito even introduced me to the "Red Team" service manager and explained that when I come in for service my vehicle will be worked on by the same team of mechanics each time. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the finance manager Joe Dipietro was easy to work with and made the sometimes difficult financing part of the purchase smooth and without any surprises. This probably sounds like it was written by someone with a personal interest in this dealership, but I assure you my wife and I walked in cold and were so impressed with every aspect of this car buying experience that I am happy to write this review.
