We traded in our 2022 GMC Arcadia for a left over (zero miles)2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Outlander . My wife and I did a lot of research to find this vehicle and we narrowed the dealerships down to Kelly Jeep, Herb Chambers Jeep or Quirk Jeep due to their high volume of car sales and service departments. So far the Jeep has 2,600 miles on it . We took it on our first trip to Killington Vermont and the windshield whispers died mid ride home while it was down pouring , that was our first trip back to Herb Chambers . Since then the vehicle has failed to start multiple times (drained battery) . I have had to jump start our brand new car more than once. We have since brought the car back to Herb Chambers to have this problem looked at, we where told it was a battery issue and that they would replace the batteries and keep the car over night to make sure nothing was drawing off the battery. I was told there were no loaner cars available, we dropped the car off at the service department after hours and there was a line of cars with stickers on the back of the windows that say courtesy car of Herb Chambers. Batteries replaced just before the 4th of July and wouldn’t you know it car won’t start again this morning . Another day of work missed and another day of daycare paid for with no car to drop the kids off. I spoke to a gentleman at the service department and explained our situation, I was told I would get a call right back to see if we could get the car there and have a vehicle ready for us to take home until they could figure out the problem. No call back at all, I guess another day of work missed with my brand new vehicle. The salesman was an absolute gentleman and help us through the whole process. None of this review should be reflected on him. I understand every car has their issues but it is totally unacceptable for a business as large as Herb chambers to disregard a customers issues with their brand new vehicle. They had no problem taking my money up front and taking my monthly payment but can’t even return a phone call for a lemon vehicle that was purchased 3 months ago .
