After buying four BMWs (a 435i, x3, 428i and an M4) from Hendrick’s Northlake BMW location, I decided to give their Jeep location in Concord a try. Buyers beware......most of the sales staff I encountered during my visit were arrogant, rude and were evidently trained to 'twist the truth'. I was looking for a 2018 JL Rubicon in the Mojito green color. They originally only had white JL Rubicon’s and they had discounts of $2,000 and almost $3,000 on those. However, they said that a Mojito color was due to arrive any day. It arrived and they only wanted to offer a $1,120 discount, so I asked why. They said it was a 'special' color. That’s not true as Mojito is a standard production color offered on the new 2018 JL versions. So, instead of asking for an additional discount, I requested a set of all weather mats and that the rock rails be changed to side steps.....in other words less than $500 of accessories at dealer cost. They said no. The one sales manager I spoke to kept saying that the color made this one Jeep special. I said ‘no’ to their so-called discount and went to buy another Jeep. I purchased a 2018 JL Rubicon from North Point Jeep in Winston-Salem. The MSRP was more and they offered almost 3 times the discount Hendrick offered on the 'special' Mojito green JL Rubicon. On my drive to purchase from North Point, I called the Hendrick Automotive Corporate Office and spoke to one of the main persons over customer relations. She said she would get back to me. After almost 2 hours I decided to call her back and she said that she spoke with her manager and he was FINE WITH HOW I WAS TREATED..........imagine that. Now, to top that. I received an email from the Ooerations Manager, David Pierce, just today. The email stated that he wanted to make sure that I had a pleasant experience during my visit. Really? I think this shows just how disconnected that dealership is from its customers. Laughable at best. So, I replied and recapped the problems I had while visiting. But wait, there’s more. Just after I replied to Mr. Pierce’s email, my phone rang and it was Mr. Pierce. He tried to defend the dealership’s poor customer engagement. But, he did say one thing that was very interesting and that is that a Rubicon is a Rubicon and that it being Mojito green doesn’t make a difference. So, I asked them why wasn’t it discounted the same and he had no reasonable explanation. My experience at Hendrick Jeep of Concord taught me that they look at their customers solely as a number and not from the aspect of becoming a repeat customer or client. My experience at North Point Jeep in Winston-Salem was just the opposite. I was treated like I was the only person buying a vehicle and I was offered a discount that was in-line with other dealers.....with the exception of Hendrick. Trust me, the 80 mile drive to Winston-Salem was worth it not to be treated in such a manner as I was at Hendrick Jeep of Concord. Wait, there’s even more. So. I got in touch with another salesperson at Hendrick today and used another name and phone number. The salesperson was Tom Boyer. When I asked about the Mojito JL Rubicon, he said that it was still available. I asked about a discount and he stated that Hendrick does not offer ANY discounts on the new JL Series Jeeps. He went on to say, via text, that the only discounts offered were through Chrysler and that they were based upon military service and affiliates, whatever that is. Again, not true as I have an actual deal sheet on the Mojito JL Rubicon and it offered a discount. Yet another different story from Hendrick. I will be contacting Chrysler / Jeep corporate about this, as this franchise seems to convey a different story every 24 hours. And, I have all of this documented through texts with their sales reps, email with their Operations Manager and an actual deal sheet on the Mojito Rubicon. Glad I purchased at another dealership. More
Dealership was willing to work with us I was in a situation where I needed to trade in my vehicle because I was over the miles in my lease by about 13,000 miles. Repeat Customer I traded in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara at Hendrick Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge last year but really wanted the new 2018 Je I traded in my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara at Hendrick Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge last year but really wanted the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara when I took my 2017 in for service on June 16th. I figured since I had just purchased the new one last year it would be out of the question to trade it in and get a new one this soon. I started looking at the 2018 JL’s while my Jeep was being serviced and met the best salesmen anyone could ever ask for!!!! Greg Davis took the time to talk to me about the colors of the different Jeeps I have owned over the years to help me decide on a color for a new Jeep. He wanted to help just in case looking turned into buying. Greg Davis made sure I was happy when I left Saturday afternoon in my new 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara!!! Greg Davis thank you and the Hendrick crew for all your help on the purchase of my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara!!! I love it!!! More

So after a couple of days my wife and I searched the Hendrick Automall website and found a couple of vehicles we were interested in reviewing. I forwarded the top 2 on our list and Annabelle had them waiting for us when we arrived. We test drove both vehicles, Annabelle was very informative on the vehicles. We decided on one of them and while we waited to complete our documentation Annabelle ran to our preferred restaurant and picked up a meal we ordered online. Relaxed, happy and profesional environment. This is the second vehicle we have purchased from this dealership. Both times the shopping experience was great! Sadly perpetuating the stereotypes of car dealerships I was looking to purchase a new Jeep. I had found a number of dealers all willing to sell at 6% under invoice (see the Jeep Forums for a list if you n I was looking to purchase a new Jeep. I had found a number of dealers all willing to sell at 6% under invoice (see the Jeep Forums for a list if you need, along with copies of actually buyers orders for proof) so I contacted Hendrick because they had a suitable model in stock and were much closer to me than these other dealers. Krista called me and said they would match those offers after speaking to her sales manager but that I needed to come in for that price. I assume this is because some people will get a written offer from a dealer and then go elsewhere to a place attempting to use it as leverage to get an even better deal. I told her I would be in the next day or the day after that. So I called to come up 2 days later (in the window I had given) and she was not there. Brittany helped me and confirmed the car was on the lot and ready to go. I started heading that way (not a short trip I will also add) and asked her to please give me the bottom line out the door price to make sure it matched what Krista had told me and that I would give them a deposit just to make sure someone did not swoop in and buy it at the last second. She asked what I had been told for a price and I told her who gave it to me and the price. I later found out that they trace all calls by phone # and also record them which I think is great so they can have proof of what was said between a buyer and seller. When I told he the price she said she would check and have someone call me. A short time later, Tom, a sales manager called me. I told him all of the above info (he was the one who told me he could hear recordings of the calls) and he informed me that while some dealers will do that price, specifically mentioning Koons in VA, he said the best he would do was MSRP. I asked him why he would not honor the price another manager had agreed to and he basically told me that should I want to save $4000 I should go to Koons. he said they are a much higher volume dealer and will do those deals. My question to you Tom is "have you ever though maybe YOU could be a higher volume dealer if YOU made those deals?" . It is an odd sales tactic to send me to a competitor and one I would think Hendrick's GM should be aware of but more importantly, if they have a recording where Krista told me they would match a price then they should have the ethical integrity to honor it. My advice is this: Shop around. There are dealers who charge hundreds less in "processing" fees and in addition they won't pull a bait and switch on you when you go to complete the transaction. If this is the level of integrity they have there, what do you think they will do when there is some disagreement or misunderstanding when there is no record of the conversation? If I am able to save 10 or 20 people of going through this experience with Hendrick and at the same time they see a loss of market share maybe it will make them reconsider not being people who stand behind their commitments. That is my hope. I will point out, at no time was anyone rude to me and I have no ill will to Tom or Krista even though I do feel Tom should not have reneged on a deal that was made just because he didn't want to do it. More

Generally pleasurable experience. I found Jeff Stark to be a straightforward and considerate salesman. At no point did I feel as I was being deceived or pressured by him. Once I was passed off from Mr. Stark to the finance department this experience did change for the worse. I felt greatly pressured at this point to purchase an extended warranty after repeatedly saying I wasn't interested in it and felt little respect towards my own opinion and wishes in regards to the extended warranty. There was no pushing, he heard us and our situation out, but best of all he customized the car shopping experience to fit what we were looking for. Because of Greg and the work done by all of Hendrick's, I now have a 500 Abarth by my side again. During the whole process Greg knew exactly where we were coming from and was talking to us person to person; we weren't just another sale. I would recommend any and everyone who is looking for another car to come here. Although my purchased vehicle is Chrysler, it was a FIAT. The lots were merging if i understood correctly, which didn't hinder the experience at all. More
