Hi Mrs. Beil, I do apologize for your delayed tag. We spoke with the Delaware DMV today for an additional update. They have informed us that they received your paperwork but are behind in Delaware due to staffing. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to speed up the Delaware DMV. They have provided a tag solution for us, due to your paperwork sitting in their office. Our business manager Cameron, will call you with the details / solution, shortly. Thank you for your business and I do apologize for the delay.

I was finally able to get in touch with Cameron on Friday. Yes the DMV is behind, but the paperwork was sent to the DMV almost a month and a half after purchasing the vehicle and after our temporary tags had expired. Cameron’s solution to this whole issue is that I should take time out of my day and take time off of work to go stand in line at the DMV to purchase a temporary tag. All Hendrick has done is blame the third party company that they use to process out of state title work. If the paperwork had been sent to the DMV in a timely manner instead of sitting on it for over a month then there wouldn’t be an issue. I just don’t understand a dealership that refuses to issue a second temporary tag, tells me to drive around on an expired tag and that they’ll pay for the tickets (who encourages people to break the law?) and then almost a month after the temporary tag has expired tells you that you can go to the DMV and purchase a new temp tag if you want. I’m just happy that the BMW I purchased from a different BMW dealer out of state, two weeks after this has already been tagged and that when the temp tag they issued me expired, no questions asked, they overnighted me a new one.
