There wasn't a table or counter where I could comfortably work like in the oil change waiting area. Service was pretty close to on-time as promised. I had rear climate controls installed that had been left out when they built the car to get it to the dealership faster. I am unsure of exactly where they installed the items because no one showed me what they did. More
Connor is a very bright, kind individual who is interested in helping people. I listened as he spoke with an elderly man who was waiting for his vehicle. He could not have been more focused on maki interested in helping people. I listened as he spoke with an elderly man who was waiting for his vehicle. He could not have been more focused on making the experience at Hawk the best it could be. He was very professional as he assisted me with my vehicle. This is a young man that should be given every opportunity to grow in the industry. your dealership will be better as Connor and others like him are given the support and continued incentive to continue their amazing work, There was a young lady in the past who has assisted me in the past, I cannot recall her name, but she was also very, very good at her job and assisting the customers. Hawk Ford was friendly and courteous. It was easy to get an appointment. I had a seal come apart on the top of the car and I needed to have it repaired before the storms came in. Hawk It was easy to get an appointment. I had a seal come apart on the top of the car and I needed to have it repaired before the storms came in. Hawk Ford took care of the warranty end of it, fixed the loose seal and even left the inside of my Escape clean as can be. I was treated with politeness and respect and I’m grateful. Will be back for annual maintenance. Thank you so much More
For my first time use of Quick Lane, Conner was very helpful in scheduling service on a busy day for an oil change and tire rotation on my 2013 Flex. Upon arrival I was greeted with a nice clean waiting helpful in scheduling service on a busy day for an oil change and tire rotation on my 2013 Flex. Upon arrival I was greeted with a nice clean waiting room and friendly staff (that do not seem to have a dress code behind the desk or in the shop - the casual look does not flatter Hawk Ford). After handing keys to Conner, I viewed a "Tech" installing wheels back onto an F150 4X4 and doing so very wrong. I gathered Conner and asked him to watch the "Tech". I told Conner that the Tech working on the F150 was tightening the lug nuts with an Impact Wrench at its "Full Power Setting" and letting it "hammer" for a few seconds on each lug nut. I explained how that particular wrench is capable of at least 400 Lbs/Ft of torque at its highest setting. This action created lugs that are at least tightened 3 times tighter than spec, causing over stress to lugs, destroys aluminum wheels, warps brake rotors and offers a pleasant surprise to the owner when he/she has flat in middle of nowhere. At this point I told Conner if this is how my Flex is about to be treated, I want my keys back and appointment cancelled. Conner reassured me with "we can use a torque wrench". I told Conner that a torque wrench does not tell you that lugs are OVERTIGHTENED. He assured me they would do it right. I watched the Tech quickly move through what looked like a very thorough inspection of my Flex, finding and reporting a loose tie rod end and installing my wheels with an Impact Wrench now set at lowest setting and using a torque wrench once wheels were on ground. Feeling calmer and having been in Tech's shoes in my past life I gave him a tip of $10. At this point, I felt that I might use Quick Lane again - maybe... A couple week later, my wife was a passenger in right front seat and found something on floor - broken pieces of plastic and some items that were previously in glove compartment are now under the seat! I examined the plastic and recognized it as potentially being pieces of "latch" that hold the Cabin Filter that was replaced by Quick Lane. I want his tip back! I took my wife's 2013 Flex to Quick Lane for this service due to my recent health issues and was temporarily unable to perform this service in my driveway as I have normally done for decades. Who am I? I was an automotive student at two colleges and a former ASE Certified Master Technician that cut his teeth as a Tech at a dealership in the 1980's. I bought my Flex to Hawk, having had prior acceptable recall service to three Mustangs and this Flex in the repair shop. I really feel let down by not only Hawk Ford, but Discount Tire (over torque, scratching Mustang wheel, inability to balance wheels with weights put on dirty wheel) and my Insurance's Roadside Assistance helping my wife with a flat tire (RA dummy put jack under doorsill and caved in sill causing $1200.00 damage). WHERE ARE AUTOMOTIVE PROFESSIONALS? I have an idea that I am once again getting worked up about something that will never change and writing something that will not get read, let alone by someone who understands what I just wrote. I was hoping someone would treat my second most expensive possessions better than the service I received at Hawk Ford Quick Lane. More
