Once we came in, we could see right away we were considered valued visitors and an even more valued customers through our engagement with her, the vehicle reviews and the sales process. Teresa is 4-star diamond in the car sales world and she and Harbor Chevrolet will be my only referrals to my friends and colleagues. Derrick was so awesome to work with. My husband came in after already doing some research and knew exactly what he wanted when we came in. Derrick greeted us with a smile and right away took my husband to look at the Traverse that my husband wanted. Because of the unexpected stop we weren’t prepared to buy anything since we had already shopped around at several places prior Harbor Chevrolet but Derrick assured us he’d do his best to help us out. From the very beginning of the process, Derrick was friendly, attentive to our needs, well mannered, super helpful and not pushy…which is so important! He did everything with a smile and got us into that Traverse my husband wanted! The process was so easy and we didnt feel rushed in any way. Derrick even got started on vehicle trade in and getting things rolling before we got back to the car lot, since it was an unexpected stop and we needed to drop off some family members at home. Excellent customer service all around from walking onto the lot, into the building, to the front desk and the delivery of our brand new car! Today I learned that a handshake, a reservation and a deposit of $1000 for a vehicle at Harbor Chevrolet means absolutely nothing. Conducting business in this fashion is visibly and openly disrespectful, deposit of $1000 for a vehicle at Harbor Chevrolet means absolutely nothing. Conducting business in this fashion is visibly and openly disrespectful, and it’s happening in plain sight. I received a call from Harbor Chevrolet and learned that the car I made a $1000 deposit on had been sold from under my feet and was no longer available. Needless to say, this is unacceptable and frustrating beyond measure for me. I made a huge mistake in choosing to do business with Harbor Chevrolet. After learning my reservation had been given away, I drove to Harbor Chevrolet and listened staff try and explain to me why things were beyond their control and their understanding. But was this scenario really out of their control? As the owner and operator of a small business, I know that Harbor Chevrolet cannot afford to do business in this fashion. It’s embarrassing and it damages the brand. Broken promises have lasting effects on clientele and the perception of professionalism and the product. It’s experiences just like mine that permanently damage the Chevrolet brand. I’ve taken the time to write this review because I don’t want anyone else to have to endure this. If this was a the kind of experience people can expect to have at this dealership, it means that it’s likely to happen again. As a result of our appalling experience with Harbor Chevrolet and with GM, my family and I have agreed to never again seek out a GM product in our lifetime. More
