Usually shopping for a new vehicle is akin to a visit to the dentist office, filled with trepidation and anxiety! Not so with Handy Toyota! Our exprience was 100% positive and orchestrated by one of the ni the dentist office, filled with trepidation and anxiety! Not so with Handy Toyota! Our exprience was 100% positive and orchestrated by one of the nicest sales person I've ever met, Jordan Mosher. Jordan was respectful and courteous,and took the time to get to know us in a way that was genuine. He gave us all the time necessary for us to get comfortable with him. He never pressued us into a decision. A less principled person would have used the fact that a $500 factory incentive was due to expire that day. Jordan never mentioned it until I brought it up, explaining that he did not want to pressure us. That was impressive! Even more impressive was that after the sale was made Jordan continued to go the extra mile for us. In some cases, once the deal is done, the sales person will no longer do the little things to impress a customer. Not Jordan! When we picked up our new Tacoma the following day, he took us through the documentation that comes with a new vehicle and explained everything. He had taken the time to write down the Roadside Assistance toll free number, and the key number and attached his business card to the documentation packet. These seemingly small things made the difference for us. He took the time to introduce us to the Service Dept folks who friendly and welcoming. A special thanks goes to Jackie Tatro, whose quick response to our on line request for a quote got us to Handy Toyota. Thank you Jackie. Youre behind the scenes work was appreciated. All in all we left in our new truck feeling that we were just adopted and welcomed into the Handy Toyota family. More
I recently popped the hood of my 2009 Handy Toyota Tacoma to give the engine area a nice cleaning. I had been under the hood in the past but never to give it a clean. To my shock, I discovered an official to give the engine area a nice cleaning. I had been under the hood in the past but never to give it a clean. To my shock, I discovered an official Toyota sticker at the very front of the hood (underneath near the grill) from my 09/16/2010 visit detailing the modifications and the dealer code. Written on the sticker in marker was the phrase: "Jesus Saves". Was first reaction was to be bummed that I missed it over a year ago. My bad. But seriously, I know the truck was a lease and all at the time, but our contract never said anything about buying into a religion. I contacted Adam Luneau who mentioned in a previous post on DealerRater to let him know if something needed attention. Super pleasant guy, very friendly and was extremely apologetic. Sounds like they had/have a guy who has since been addressed for doing this in other fashions with other vehicles. Adam also said to contact him the next time we're on the car market and he would help us out. Which is where the quandary comes in.... I've bought a total of 2 new vehicles in my 26 years of driving. That's roughly once every 12 years (deducting the 3 years it has been since getting the Tacoma). Maybe in 9 years Adam will still be around to make good on the pledge. Or maybe he'll be on an island somewhere toasting that he is not near his apostolic staff. Or maybe I will? Either way, the redemption promise is too abstract to me to draw me back for another purchase. And does it mean a jihad haggling over sticker price? Sigh. Personally, I'd like to see this Jesus-freak ordered to detail my truck on his own dime - and with no further preaching. Too much to ask? Maybe. In the meantime, I'll throw my experience up on DealerRater and let others decide how to proceed with their own shopping. More
