Our initial contact with Josh in internet sales was positive. In general, there was insufficient communication during the process. When we called during business hours, the regular sales associate seemed to be never there or never available. Almost all communication was by voicemail and in my opinion that is unacceptable. Had the sales person advised us about available warranties, we would have chosen a different and more preferred interior color option. Warranties were only discussed once the car was ordered (with optional upgrades) and in the lot with no option to swap for another available vehicle. There did not seem to be any benefit in being a repeat new car and maintenance customer at this dealership. I did appreciate the dealership working with us on financing. The final vehicle pick up took almost 3 long hours when we were told it would last an hour to an hour and a half tops. Warranty options could have been discussed anytime during the initial sales discussion or during the weeks we had to wait for the car to arrive at the dealership. More

Our experience with Charles Barker Toyota was AWESOME!!!! I had not originally planned to purchase a Toyota and was still in the process of test driving other cars. Pauline was very professional and patient. She was not pushy in any way. She was actually at the dealership and available on 3 different occasions when we dropped in unannounced and she gave us her full attention. When we decided to buy the car (Toyota Avalon Ltd), she was able to work with us on a price we felt was more than fair which meant they ended up increasing what they would give us on our trade-in. We did not have to haggle. I would rate our overall experience as excellent. More
Chas. Barker is really "on the ball". We were looking for a Highlander Hybrid and shopped other dealers and were told we had to order one and the wait was 3 months. Within 30 minutes of sending an e-mail to them, we were contacted and told they had one in stock. Within an hour we were on our way (an 1 1/2 hr. drive) to see it. Disappointed that it was not the model we wanted...Chris suggested that we create our veicle from this one---adding our "must-haves"---and by 11PM we had our vehicle purchased. As we left the dealer we discussed what a hassle-free, easy process it was. Each person who helped us was friendly, helpful and listened to us--rather than pressuring us to make the decision. We have found ourselves a new dealership! More

The dealerships climate was also very pleasing, all employess would smile and ask how we were and displayed friendlyness through the long process of the required paper work. I bought a new 2011 Camry and I could not be more unhappy with Charles Barker. They added leather seat covers for an additional $2000 and there is a crack in the leather in the back seat that they wont fix e with Charles Barker. After I had the car 6 months I find out the value of the car is no only 16,000-18,000 dollars! I paid almost $26,000!. They talk talk talk when you are buying the car. They keep you busy talking about the weather so you don't notice the details about how badly your getting screwed. The chic who talked to me about the additional warranties told me over and over how great they are and that they "cover everything" but it really wont cover anything! The finance guy talked small talk the whole time about how he use to live where Im from, and he knows someone who's a nurse in the ER, blah blah blah but never says "This is your percentage rate" or "This is what your paying for this car by the time you pay it off" They are only interested in squeezing every last dime out of you that they can and not being fair or honest. They are the stereo typical used car dealers, and I plan to tell everyone I work with and everyone I meet, for as long as Im stuck with this car! More
