Dropped vehicle off for "pre-holiday special" Dropped vehicle off for "pre-holiday special" advertised at $59.95, once car was inside we were told that the price would actually be $75 due to Dropped vehicle off for "pre-holiday special" advertised at $59.95, once car was inside we were told that the price would actually be $75 due to a request to use synthetic oil. Agreed to that and left - 10 minutes (and several miles in traffic) later, service department called to inform us that the price quoted for the oil was $20 low and the actual price for work would be "around $95." Fred (technician on phone) started to give attitude when questions were asked as to why the price difference was approximately 40% more than advertised. When we picked up the vehicle, we were showed to the cashier, who charged our card and gave us our keys with a vague reference to the location of the vehicle. No one reviewed (or offered to) the bill or work completed with us. We wandered the lot for 10 minutes looking for the car. When we asked for a comment card the cashier sent us to the service desk, the service desk informed us that comment cards were located with the cashier. Would not recommend this dealer / will not use again. Save the time and go to Japanese Auto Masters on London Bridge Rd - better service, less hassle. More

We started a relationship with Jesse Cook and Charles Barker Toyota back in January 2010 when we purchased my wife's 2009 Venza. This Saturday, we purchased our second Venza - a 2012 - from Jesse Cook a Barker Toyota back in January 2010 when we purchased my wife's 2009 Venza. This Saturday, we purchased our second Venza - a 2012 - from Jesse Cook and Charles Barker Toyota. The reason why is because we feel like family at Charles Barker and we TRUST Jesse and Charles Barker Toyota. That very afternoon, I brought my daughter in to see Jesse and she bought a new Toyota Camry because she was so impressed with Jesse and with the Charles Barker dealership. In my mind, if every dealership made the car-buying experience like this, people would feel a lot better about bying a car from a dealership. Charles Barker Toyota is simply exceptional and their method of doing business and the way that they treat their customers is the way it should be done. Jesse Cook has earned our complete TRUST and he is our family's "car guy." Charles Barker Toyota is our car dealership and as long as Jesse and Charles Barker stay together, I do not intend to purchase another vehicle anywhere else as long as I live here in Virginia Beach. The Chares Barker "after the sale" experience is every bit as satisfying. Their maintenance department is OUTSTANDING and every time my wife has had to bring her car in for service, she has been completely happy and I do not have to worry that she is being taken advantage of or that the dealership is pressuring her to have additional work done merely to generate additional revenue. That is part of the TRUST that characterizes the realtonship we have with Jesse Cook and Charles Barker Toyota. It equates to peace of mind and a satisfying ownership experience and it is what made us come back this Saturday and purchase not one, but two vehicles from Jesse and Charles Barker Toyota. In my opinion, you won't find a better experience anywhere in Hampton Roads. My wife says that her Venza is the absolute best car she has ever owned and my daughter can't wait to take delivery of her new Camry.
