I live in Chesapeake, VA and was in Richmond for the day while my wife was at a conference in May. I went to Capital GMC to look at trucks since I was in the area and I was also getting ready to purchase a while my wife was at a conference in May. While looking, I got to talking to Gary Dunn of Capital about when I had planned on purchasing and what I wanted. I mentioned where I lived and that I would be purchasing close to home. He still took the time to answer all my questions in reference to the GMC Sierra truck and definetly had great knowledge about the Sierra truck and other brands. Gary took my phone number and thanked me for stopping by the dealership. He was still very professional and was interested in my concerns with the GMC brand of trucks. In June, I got the go ahead from my Financial Advisor (my wife) that I could get serious about buying a new truck earlier than expected with the deals that were going on with GMC. I went to several dealers in the Hampton Roads area and decided on one to make my purchase. The dealership I chose was not capable of doing what it could do to get the truck I wanted. Going out of their way to delight the customer was nowhere in sight at this dealership. I had received a call from Gary about a week before I had the unsuccessful dealing and bad attitude salesman locally. I did not return Gary's call because I thought everything was going good at the time. Wrong! When I called Gary back, discussed my situation and what I wanted, he went above and beyond the call of duty to support me. He located the truck I wanted, had it on his lot that night for me and my wife to look at and purchase. Since then, he has called to see how I was doing and if I was still satisfied with the truck. Gary was great to deal with, could answer all questions about the truck, and most important, he was/is concerned about me as a customer. I highly recommend Gary and the Capital dealership. Our sales person, Mr. Gary Dunn was very accomadating with our needs. He was easy to talk with and was a real people person. We were offered water and the receptionist in the front had brought in homemad with our needs. He was easy to talk with and was a real people person.
