I bought a used vehicle like a year ago, I bought an extended warranty also for fear that something would go wrong with the vehicle and unfortunately the transmission broke down, when I took the car ba extended warranty also for fear that something would go wrong with the vehicle and unfortunately the transmission broke down, when I took the car back to the dealer in a tow truck for it to be repaired and three days later the maintenance department called me to inform me that they could not repair the vehicle that they did not have the time or the tools to do it that they were not going to charge me for a diagnostic, so that I could pay for a tow truck once again and that I have to take it to another Dear for a transmission workshop. I do not recommend buying a used vehicle from this dealer for the same reason and now that I have to renew my vehicle for a new one I am not going to this location. More
I worked with Matt Carter, a sales associate with Gurnee Hyundai. I was picky, he was patient. Could have been 95 degrees plus the first day I was there. Matt showed me many great cars, went out on sever Hyundai. I was picky, he was patient. Could have been 95 degrees plus the first day I was there. Matt showed me many great cars, went out on several test drives, was super helpful, tried answering all my questions, was honest if he didn't know the answer. He wasn't pushy and I never felt pressured. I came back the following day and worked with Matt again. On that day, I purchased my Tucsan. He followed up by phone, texts, checking if I was all good. He also helped to keep paperwork moving, ensuring I received my plates in a timely manner. I would recommend Gurnee Hyundai and Matt if you are interested, or at the least want to take a look at what driving a Hyundai is all about. I am in my 18th year of owning a Hyundai. Thank you Matt!! Shout out to Mike Volakis, one the finance managers. Got me in and out and also very helpful and easy to work with. More
Experience buying a car through the Hyundai Gurnee branch was a nightmare. Leonides Garcia was an arrogant salesman who thinks he was doing me a favor by selling a Sonata from the start, which by the way tur was a nightmare. Leonides Garcia was an arrogant salesman who thinks he was doing me a favor by selling a Sonata from the start, which by the way turned out to be a lemon car due to the many non-repairable safety issues the vehicle had. My suggestion, choose other brands and stay away from this dealership. More

I reached out to this dealer because of a Kia Soul they had listed on Cars.com I almost immediately received a call back to discuss my initial inquiry. I expressed I was remote about 4 hours away and wo had listed on Cars.com I almost immediately received a call back to discuss my initial inquiry. I expressed I was remote about 4 hours away and would like to complete as much as possible so I could arrive, test drive and then do paperwork. I was informed that they require in person to do most of that, but that a "manager" would reach out to me to see what they could do for me. 24 hours (ish) later I received a call from the online sales manager. I covered the few questions I had about the car, IE remaining factory warranty, Title isn't salvage or rebuilt,, etc. At that time he mentioned that they had added $1900 in accessories to the vehicle and that that would be need to be added to the published pricing. I asked what those accessories were as they were not indicated on the Cars.com page or the Dealer page itself. He quickly listed them off, so fast that I asked him to repeat them twice, and then finally gave up and asked for the list of additions in writing. He said "NO". I said I wanted to see the list of additions that weren't listed on his website in writing so that I could understand the extra that I was being asked to pay and he said : "No they weren't interested in sending me a list, I could come in and they would be happy to show me the additions." Now If I'm going to give almost 19K for an item, if I want to see the list of accessories that you have added I should be able to see the list. It in fact should be listed on your advertisement for the item. This is straight up bait and switch, show the lower price, claim it's marketing's fault and then try to get me to buy at the much higher rate. More
