You deal with straight forward courteous people at Gunn Honda. I visited three dealers looking for a new car for my wife. One dealership actually told me, "this isn't Gunn" and another, Benson Honda, sucked. We are a military family who are implants here so we do not get a chance to see the history of dealerships but looking at the reviews from other customers, Gunn Honda will be around for a long time. Prices are great and my salesman, Freeman Sparks, actually bent over backwards for us. We did not get pressured at any time and they actually went above and beyond. American Honda should be happy to have Gunn Honda as one of their dealerships. They are good enough to come back to them after moving away to experience this again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and if you are looking for a car, GO SEE FREEMAN! More
If the goal of the Gunn Honda dealership was to prevent me from getting oil changes at their dealership....it worked.....Using their express service it took me 2 hours to get just a oil change. Late last night I made inquiries on their web site just out of couriosity . I got a call this morning from James and told him my looking was just a pipe dream because I live on disability. I drove a 2008 Toyoya Tundra and was looking for something smaller. I also explained to him that I had no money and would not be able to make payments. He came out to my home within an hour to take a look and see what he could do for me on a used vehicle. He was able to put me in a 2006 Hundai Tucson and I am even getting money back. Everything at the dealersip was very efficient and even knowing my money situation was treated with the same respect as if I was buying their top of the line. More

None of that back and forth haggling with the "man in the back room" about prices. It's simple and brilliant. I'll admit I do not like car salesman, never met one I did, until now. Mike Lents sure changed my mind about that. He treated me like I mattered and was absolutely up front about everything. Friendly, courteous, and genuinely a nice guy. I'm sending anyone I know that is looking for a car, to him. Heck, even if they aren't looking for a car, I tell them about him and my experience at Gunn Honda and to pass on the word. When my mother and I went to Gunn Honda we went with the full intention of just looking. Even before we got into the door we were greeted by a Gunn Honda employee on his way in who offered us Starbucks Coff full intention of just looking. Claudette came in at 9am to meet us even though she did not have to be there until noon that day. She was a breath of fresh air! Genuine personality and professional sales woman all the way. We did not feel ONE OUNCE of pressure to buy the vehicle. The information, education, friendliness, and quality of the honda was enough. We got an amazing deal and had a pleasant experience all around. Scott, did the appraisal for my trade in and I can honestly say that I got exactly what I was looking for in the price. Our finance guy was Frank and again he was more than helpful and explored every option with us. He was not pushy with the warranties but he was very informative. Honestly, words can't express what a good experience we had purchasing my new Honda. As much as I hated saying goodbye to my SUV I knew I had to get into a car that I loved and Honda was the only way to go for me. I left not feeling taken advantage of and feeling good about my purchase and experience. If you're in the market for a new car (or used) you can NEVER go wrong with a Honda and if you're looking for a no pressure, honest, fun, and genuine person to help you with your decision you will NOT go wrong with Claudette. I had been looking for a truck for more than 8 months and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for on any lot between Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Amarillo: i.e., the right options for the r couldn't find exactly what I was looking for on any lot between Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Amarillo: i.e., the right options for the right price. Late on Saturday afternoon, I happened to notice that Gunn had the truck optioned the way I wanted and for a substantially lower price than any that I'd seen in 8 months. I called the dealer cold and asked to speak to someone in sales. Damon Honore, a friendly and energetic young salesman, answered his telephone on the first ring, even though it was late on a Saturday afternoon. (As a practical matter, I've left messages for salespersons at other Honda dealers over the last three weeks that still have not been returned; so, Damon started out way ahead of many.) I live an hour and half from the dealership, and Damon understood that if I came in, he would be working hours past closing. He was undaunted. He encouraged me to come in. When I arrived, almost two hours later, Damon had had the truck detailed and ready for a test drive. (I'm talking it was spotless and no wait at all.) After I checked out the truck, the rest of the transaction went perfectly smoothly. There was no pressure to add options, accessories, warranties, nothing. From closing the deal on the truck through aftermarket and financing with Matthew [LNU], the crew at Gunn were professional and efficient and hands-on. There were no games; no "let me talk to my sales manager" nonsense; and no effort to upsell. (That's not to say that Damon and Matthew didn't tell me what other options, accessories, and warranties were available. They did. But there was absolutely no pressure or pushiness that I've experienced at other dealers. It was only informational.) The whole transaction took less than two hours from the time I arrived until the time I drove away. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend Damon, Matthew and Gunn. I will use them again when I must replace my wife's Honda Pilot. More
i went to buy a honda element. mr. michael lents showed me 2011 model and he was very knowledgeable of the car. i went to look at 2008 model at other dealers and i knew something about the car. but, he t me 2011 model and he was very knowledgeable of the car. i went to look at 2008 model at other dealers and i knew something about the car. but, he told me the difference in the engine from an older model. he also showed me all parts of utility in the element. the reason for choosing the car was the utilitarian aspect of the car. it was important to me that he showed me all aspects of the utility. it was also important to me that the engine now had a timing chain rather than a timing belt - less maintenance. all in all, he showed how well he understood about the car and i felt comfortable as to what i was purchasing. he also showed me the 2010 model and i ended up buying 2010 model because of the certified status. it was a good experience. My search began the same as many consumers these days, on the internet. I visited numerous dealer websites and car search engines to get a feel for what is available. When I finally pinned down a vehicle for which I had a strong interest, I submitted a request for information from the Gunn Honda website. Within 12 hours I received a response from Mike Lents detailing his role at Gunn Honda, what he can do to help, as well as the information I requested. From that moment on he was very responsive, followed up on every message, and made a concerted effort to keep the lines of communication open. This eventually lead to me scheduling an appointment to visit the dealership, and the car of my interest. Once onsite I found Mike to be friendly, easy to talk to, and a pleasure to work with. We went for a test drive, appraised my trade-in, and made the sale. Mike then introduced me to Luke Finley (F&I Manager), who was equally as helpful explaining in simple terms what each document I signed pertained to, and outlined my options. Once all the ink was dry I made my way back to my trade-in, emptied it out with Mike's help. We shook hands, and feeling good about the experience, I have decided that good work should not go unnoticed. I'm sure there was also a team of individuals who made the vehicle I purchased ready for delivery, and I'd like to recognize them as well for a job well done. More

After haggling with another dealership in the Austin area I decided to take Roger at his word and drive down to San Antonio to purchase my new car. I was worried that the deal was "too good to be true" but in fact the deal went through with the exact numbers that Roger quoted. We were in and out of the dealership in a little over two hours. Everyone was courteous, honest, and efficient. Will recommend them to all of my friends and will certainly do business with them again. More
