I’ve purchased three vehicles from Greenway but always received service at Tropical because it’s closer to home. I purchased a service package with Greenway so I have to use them. My initial visit I was told I needed a new battery even though I just purchased one four days prior. I was told I needed front brakes and all kind of flush this and that. I declined the services as I had just purchased the car a mere 120 days before getting my first oil change. Fast forward to Friday 07/15 I scheduled an appointment to address two open recalls and my regular oil change. The attendant outside was rude, I smiled and he barely broke a grin. No hello just how can I help. Made me feel like I ran over his dog and kept driving. The second young man I encountered outside was extremely pleasant he called my service advisor and kept a little conversation going. When my advisor appeared Mr. Cruz looked annoyed. I asked him how long the service would be as I am here for two recalls. He said I would have to leave my car over the weekend and I would have to rent a car. Now a recall is not my fault. I did not put the car together why should I be left with the burden of paying a rental for a recall. Unacceptable. I declined the service because I was not prepared to leave my car the entire weekend and pay for a rental. So all we did was the oil change. Mr. Cruz called about two hours later and said the car was ready. I was surprised I was told so many things were wrong prior and now my car was perfect. I miraculously didn’t need brakes or a battery!!!!??? When I asked Mr. Cruz about it he sounded surprised. He put me on hold and came back and whispered well you denied the services your last visit. I said so because I denied them then, I’m barred from the services moving forward? He said well do you want them now? I said well I was told I needed brakes and a battery? He put me on hold again… and returned and whispered no everything is fine you don’t need it. Now you see my apprehension to allow them to further touch my vehicle. For the first time in my life I experienced why so many people do not want to go to the dealer to service their car. The sales department is awesome, professional and willing to go the extra mile. I understand they want to sell cars. I will be going to Tropical for my recalls and any other service related issue outside of what I purchased which is basic oil changes,etc. I am so disappointed in how I was treated by the service department. If I would have blindly went along with what was told to me the first visit I would have spent over $700 on a car I just purchased. Yes it’s a used car but I didn’t buy it from Dans buy here pay here I purchased it from a reputable dealer. One I’ve dealt with on several occasions. Completely let down and soured by my experience. More
Set-up shuttle service prior to the service date. Upon arrival, the Service advisor stated the recall work would take no longer than 45-60 minutes; but, the vehicle was brought out 2.5 hours later. This is the 3rd time this has happened. They’re not punctual and inconsiderate of other’s time. More
Charidy was courteous & extremely informative during my stay at Greenway today. She was helpful in my getting in & out of my car & treated like a VIP. She is a great asset to Greenway Ford. The salesman was A+++, but the tricks this dealership uses to get more $$ out of you are shameful to say the least. These people think we are dumb. Greenway Ford adds about a $1000 to the price for LUXCA uses to get more $$ out of you are shameful to say the least. These people think we are dumb. Greenway Ford adds about a $1000 to the price for LUXCARE PROTECTION. I continously said I didn’t want it & the finance person said that its already on the car, then they tried to sell me insurance to which I said NO so they offered to take the $1000 of LUXCARE out if I took the insurance. (I thought it was already applied? So, is it applied or not?) I refused the insurance & when I got home to revise the paperwork carefully they had added the $1000 to the finance without even asking me. Now I’ll be paying for this LUXCARE for years, smh. In reading the small print they said that I accepted this protectant. I felt like taking the car back. Using these scams should be illegal! Finance dept tricks buyer into getting stuff they don”t want and they don”t give you the option of getting hard copies of paperwork. They gave me a drive that I had to get home to insert in my computer. Horrible way of doing business! More
