I am generally quite happy with the service my 2001 Highlander has received at Girard. My one serious complaint is that they often do not have the part needed in stock and I must order and pay for the Highlander has received at Girard. Had my first service visit with an oil change. Oil was all over the engine compartment and under the vehicle. Brought the car back the next day and all I received was a sorry. I bought my used Sienna from Girard a few years ago but was not happy with the service back then. I wanted to give them another try because the location is so close to my house and I wanted to support our was not happy with the service back then. I wanted to give them another try because the location is so close to my house and I wanted to support our local businesses. I want to pronounce that they have DEFINITELY changed their dealership and their service department. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Their service manager, Lenny went out of his way to make sure my appointment went smoothly and the entire staff was so friendly and professional. I will absolutely be returning for my future service needs. Thanks so much for a job well done!! More
I don't like having to pay for parts in advance for items that I feel Toyota should have in stock. Items like brake rotos, spark plugs, water pumps, and wheel bearings. Having said that, I have been satisfied with the quality and service availability since I have owned my Camry in 2006. Girard, has been pretty good about servicing my car. I am also appreciative of the Saturday time slots that are a necessity for me since I commute daily to Bloomfield for work. All in all, I am OK with pricing, although I know the dealership prices for parts and labor are slightly higher than other alternatives. I am more confident with newer cars being serviced by Toyota trained technicians, in spite of what others say. As a former mechantic, I know first hand the diffulculty of keeping up with electrical, electronic and mechanical advances that manufacturers design into vehicles. My car has been to two dealers in two states and Jiffy Lube a couple of times in the 142000 miles I've owned it. Keep up the good work. More
Once again I took my vehicle in to the service depart to get it serviced and Lenny came through. Lenny is extremely professional and everyone is so friendly. I have two Toyota vehicles and I believe the servie department knows these vehicles better than I do. it is never a hassle to get an appointment and everything is right on point. These people take pride in what they do. Before I took my car in I was telling a co-worker about my experience with Lenny and the day I dropped off my car I brought him with me because he was concerned about his brakes making a squeaking sound although another delear told him that they were okay. He was very pleased with the service. His exact words were "man, I see what you are talking about, they are really good over there!" I am pretty sure he will be bringing all his vehicles there for servicing from now on. I just, love this team and thank you Lenny for always making my family's visit to Service center pleasant and hassle free. More

When I called to make the appoinment I specifically requested to have my oil changed and to have my battery tested and replaced if necessary. When I came to drop my vehicle off the technician asked me requested to have my oil changed and to have my battery tested and replaced if necessary. When I came to drop my vehicle off the technician asked me what time I needed my vehicle back. It was 08:15 in the morning and I stated I needed it back at 10:00am. At that time I presented a coupon from Toyota for $39.95, which included the oil change, brake inspection, tire rotation and fliud inspection. When I returned at 09:50 I was not greeted by anyone. When I inquired about my vehicle I was told that the estimate would be over $700.00. I was also told my power steering fluid was contaminated and the system required flushing. Was this before you really knew about the recall? In addition I was told I needed rear breaks. The vehicle only has 35,000 miles. After declining the brakes and power steering fluid flush, I was told the oil change was completed but they still had not replaced the battery even though that was part of my original request. So with that said it was another hour before I drove out of there. I am disapointed in the service, prices and unavailability of getting recalls taken care of in a timely fashion. Your prices are outragous and you never offer a free oil change. the only person I saw was the technician that signed me in on Saturday 11/10/12. I am not sure of his name. More
