Frankly, our overall rating of the dealership and now our impression of Kia would be even lower if we hadn't enjoyed working with her and the fact that we simply love the vehicle. We feel Gerald Kia of Naperville is currently gouging its customers simply because it can. We received a $7K dealer markup over MSRP, amounting to about 15% of the total value of the vehicle. We had read stories of such practices online, but were really unprepared for the extent to which a dealership would take advantage of the current chip shortage and low inventory, in particular for a low emission EV hybrid. We budgeted for a more expensive vehicle and anticipated a higher APR due to inflation, necessitating perhaps more down to get a better deal (which we did). What caught us off guard and will result in us looking elsewhere in the next year or two as we look to upgrade our Toyota Prius to a full EV was the dealership policy in a seller's market. They were looking to take advantage of the situation and they did. For that reason and that reason alone, we would never recommend Gerald Kia. More

Bought and serviced our Kia from this dealer and all was positive until the last couple of visits for service. Had the steering column and spark plugs replaced. Tech ended up damaging a vacuum line which ma positive until the last couple of visits for service. Had the steering column and spark plugs replaced. Tech ended up damaging a vacuum line which made the brake pedal stiff when starting and the car was out of alignment. Brought the car back to get the stiff brake pedal and alignment fixed and was lied to my face stating the car drives straight and the stiff brake pedal was normal even stating in the report the vacuum lines were checked. While troubleshooting the firm brake pedal, I found a cracked vacuum hose and replaced it which solved the firm brake pedal. Brought the car to another Kia dealer which actually put the car on the alignment rack and found the front toe and camber way out of alignment. These are the same people that serviced the car for years in which I gave 5-star service cause they deserved it, but then seem to flip a switch when they no longer want your business. More
Tried calling the dealership today to inquire about purchasing our six new Kia. Sales person Carlos answered the phone and barely gave me a time of day and when I was trying to ask questions just told purchasing our six new Kia. I was told this was supposed to be a good dealership to go to. It sad that every Kia dealership I have gone to this year is nothing but horrible service and for someone who is looking to be a six time Kia owner it looks like I will be searching other brands. They obviously don’t care about their customers it’s all about money and not customer satisfaction or even respect. As a retail store manager of a large corporation store, if I ever had any Employee be that disrespectful on the phone or in person to anyone they wouldn’t have a job more than two minutes. More
The dealership is not trustworthy in my experience & lacks honest & upfront pricing. They’re taking advantage of the low inventory & being dishonest about pricing in my experience. Disappointing sales tactics! Received an online estimate for a lease on their website with specific VIN# & sale price as advertised for abt $452/month. Quentin was great to work with and helped us find the perfect car at a price we could afford. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and didn't make us feel pressured.
