I knew the vehicle I was going to look at to purchase through my online shopping. When I attempt to turn into the driveway there a line all the way to the street for service. With this line the entire back area is blocked off and not accessible so now I'm backing on to McKinley road traffic. I guess that's what keep the body shop busy. After parking next door and walking back I went inside. I gotta say I haven't seen that many carny working since last attending the circus that came to town in 1979. The entire aura of the place is filthy used car shyster's. The kind grandpa would warn you about. I would expect it from Loser Larrys down the street but from a Chevy Dealership...wow Both of my teenagers expressed their discomfort there compared to all the other places we went. Lets get to the car. Looks like a used car. We come together on the price and I was ready to purchase. I paid 39.99 to get the carfax myself . Guess what. Specialized title due to odometer tampering. (I got a car fax to prove it) Isn't this something a dealer should be disclosing? They knew it. Just didn't know I knew it ( Getting the carny thing yet?) Now we move to the pay office. He has a copy of my license and then demands my social security#. As several other reviewers have stated they like to run peoples credit without permission. Well I was paying cash. Less than 6,000.00 so there was absolutely no reason to need my social security number. This has nothing to do with purchasing. They claim it's their policy ( sale line of b.s. other customers say) Well guess what, it's not my policy. I walked away. Unbelievable that their even allowed to be a Chevy dealership. The next several dealer I went to all got to hear the story or the shyster Chevy dealer in Mishawaka. They all laughed at you while shaking their heads. Please don't respond to my review with your lame "We are soooo concerned, please call us" Truth is your not concerned. You don't care or you might have done something with the 20 some other people that made the same complaint. I am also forwarding my review to General Motors More
