On June 15, 2019 (Saturday), I got in touch with Gary Ro Horrible business ethics - I very much regret attempting to do business with this dealership. On June 15, 2019 (Saturday), I got in touch with Gary Rome Hyundai to inquire about a used 2018 Audi that they had for sale. I’d assume the previous owner traded it in for another vehicle, but I did not confirm these details. I live in Pennsylvania, so I confirmed a few details about the vehicle with the sales associate over the phone as well as reviewing the CarFax report. I had test driven this 2018 Audi model at a local dealership (that specific vehicle was ultimately out of my budget) and was checking Autotrader.com daily for a used 2018 within my budget. This is how I came in contact with Gary Rome Hyundai. I was satisfied with the CarFax report as well as the details the Gary Rome Hyundai sales associate provided over the phone, so on June 17, 2019 (Monday), the sales associate faxed the bill of sale to my local bank. On June 18, 2019 (Tuesday), my husband and I took the day off from work, went to the bank to finalize the auto loan and check, and then began our 4-and-a-half-hour drive to Gary Rome Hyundai. About 150 miles into the trip (3 hours with New York traffic) I received a phone call from a manager at Gary Rome Hyundai. He regretfully informed us that the Audi had just been driven out of the detail bay on their lot when it collided with another car that was being drive in front of the detail bay. He explained that the damage was extensive enough that he would not feel comfortable with the car being taken off of the lot. He invited us to continue through the last hour of our drive to come see the car. I had absolutely no interest in continuing on to see the car as I knew I would not want to purchase a car that would now have an accident and front-end repairs listed on the CarFax report. This would lower that vehicle’s trade in value down the road. When I explained this to the manager, he assured us that they would not report the accident and it would therefore not land on the CarFax report. This made me very uncomfortable and suspicious of their business ethics. They are also not an Audi dealer, and I would not have wanted them to do repair work on the car. I asked Bobby if my husband and I would be reimbursed for our time and travel, which ended up being 6 hours of travel, 300 total miles. He let us know that he would look into it but that he was certain that Gary Rome would do something for us. I asked that they immediately email me photos of the damage as I had in that moment wondered if they had received a higher offer on the car and were using this as a way to back out of our deal. It took them an hour to email us the photos. I replied to that email confirming that I would not be going through with the sale, and outlining our phone conversation about time and travel reimbursement. I never received a reply to that email, so on July 20, 2019 (Thursday) I reached out again asking for an update. No response. I sent another follow up email on July 22, 2019 (Saturday) asking for an update. The manager replied shortly after explaining that they had a local Audi dealership assess the damage. The manager offered me $300 off of the car if I’d like to go through with buying it once Gay Rome Hyundai repairs it with OEM Audi parts, but that this is all they can offer me. First and foremost, I would never go through with the sale at this point, I had already made that clear. Secondly, $300 off? That was an insult. I wrote back explaining that I would not be interested in purchasing the car but that I would still like reimbursement for time and travel. Accidents happen, I understand that, but the car should not have been touched by their staff from the moment we confirmed plans on Monday. It should have been prepared a day ahead of my planned travel, and kept in a secure location until my arrival, especially since they knew I was traveling such a long distance. The manager responded and stated he refuses to discuss this any further and is terminating the conversation. It’s pretty sad that a supposedly successful dealership would stiff a 29-year-old hardworking woman out of $150 time and travel reimbursement ($0.50 per mile for 300 miles). Based on this refusal I must assume their dealership is in dire straits financially, and that’s not a dealership that any hardworking person should do business with as they will, like me, be taken advantage of. While the sales associate that had been helping me originally was very helpful and caring (thank you, Ryan, for actually caring and apologizing), the manager (Robert) that stepped in after the accident occurred not only lied to me about seeing to it that I receive time and travel reimbursement, he took 5 business days to respond to me, and was completely insulting my time and intelligence in his response. Consider yourself warned – the ethics here are very poor. Disappointing and shameful. More

Angela Lynch always provides my wife and I I had an appointment this morning at 7:30 AM for a routine service maintenance on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson. Angela Lynch always provides my wife and I with outstanding customer service. When they say you have a 730 appointment they take you immediately at 7:30 which is why I always bring my vehicles here for all of the maintenance. They don’t keep you waiting Forever just to get here oil change and rotate your tires or any other maintenance issues. Great job keep up the good work! More
