Customer request ignored! My daughter purchased a used car at Friendly Honda. She worked with Reggie; who was nice enough. Paul, the finance guy, was a different story. He clearly has something against young people ; as he called my daughter “kid” more than once and said our credit union hires 18 year olds who don’t know what they’re doing. (By the way- my daughter is 28). The fact is, my daughter told him not to run her credit because she already had a pre-approval through the credit union. Paul did a social security search for her application and didn’t find it. Instead of calling the credit union; LIKE HE SHOULD HAVE, he submitted a new application. This credit pull caused her score to drop a few points; as inquiries will, and it almost caused my daughter to receive a higher interest rate than she should have. I say almost, because she called HVFCU to ask about something else and that’s how she found out credit was repulled; which warranted a 5.40% rate. The credit union did right by my daughter and said they would honor the pre-approval credit score which gives her 4.24% rate. IF SHE HADN’T CALLED SHE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A HIGHER RATE!!! She expressed her displeasure to Paul about this and he blamed it all on the credit union. I emailed Dom, the VP, and received no reply!!! Do NOT go to friendly honda; it was anything but a friendly experience in the end. More
